Philosophy In the Flesh has been in my list to read. Pretty thick book indeed lol. I look forward getting to read it. Have you heard of the author John Mcwhorter? He’s a Linguistics Professor. He has many titles of that topic.
I might recognize some of his books, but the name doesn't sound familiar. Metaphors we live by is also good and shorter, but tons of overlap with philosophy in the flesh.

I don't always read the latest editions. I think some books only get newer editions for money reasons.
