I am with you on this. It has been a year since I have had my 2wd Slash out on the dirt. I think that it is time for me to get it back out. Thanks for the inspiration.
ROTFL you jinxed yourself with that nice first lap... and daring to speak of it... made the truck look great and then proceeded to make it look like the stuff a bear leaves in the woods ;^) What beautiful running conditions
Not gonna lie, I really enjoy running 2wd once in a while. With a decent gyro system, you really can fly. On my Slash, I use the Proline Dumont paddle tires and I feel they give me better sideways stability than other paddle tires I've tried.
Interesting history off topic. In the 1979 Oakland Supercross race, the track was real sandy. A rider used a paddle tire called "the hooker", and won every heat & moto, including the main. Was his first win out of his 3 year career at that point. Immediately after, the AMA banned paddle tires from the sport lol.
What type of servo horn did you use? I tried running an upgraded servo on my 22s sct and the whole assembly was too far forward toward the front of the car and bound up. Could not steer because there wasnt enough clearance.
I used a losi horn too! the distance from the servo mounts to the top of the gear has to be very small. It rules out a lot of standard sized servos from what I can tell.@@ExocagedRC
You are the perfect person for testing Pins/step pins Vs Paddles give it a go .
Man the sound those paddles make is beautiful!
I love how excited you are every time you drive!

Has to be a losi horn due to the shape, I remember I found one on amazon.
