I've been diabetic for 11 yrs. now. Watching video now, and the first few minutes have validated what I've felt about being addicted to sugar. Life changing, is this video. Thank you!
So true. Sugar is very addictive for many people. Diabetes run in my family so I know how important it is to break the sugar addiction. I have seen my love one having to check their blood sugar twice a day and take insulin.
I decided to finally get off sugar a few years ago. The first three days were really tough. In the summer I would wake up with headaches which I thought were caused by allergies. When I got off sugar the headaches went away. Lack of pain was a great motivator for me. Now when I look at a frosted donut or cake my brain makes a connection and reminds me" there is a headache waiting for me" and I am not even tempted. I occasionally have a piece of bittersweet chocolate or a graham cracker but am usually disappointed when someone offers me something sweet when eating out. I drink a lot of teas, mostly herbal or decaf in the afternoons. I find if I am wanting something sweet I am satisfied by having a vanilla or spice tea with a spoonful of plain milk. If you can get through the first few days it gets easier.
Makes so much sense when you explain things the way you do. I wish I would've had all of this nutrition and exercise information as a younger adult or teenager! No time like my menopausal 50s to take THE best care of myself. Can't thank you enough for your videos!
I've always had a major struggle with sugar addiction, and I've never found a good routine to beat it. Thank you for the valuable advice. Hopefully, this will allow me to overcome this addiction and find better health!
Some of the suggestions might seem obvious but when I really analyse my routine I realize just how many things I'm not doing that could be helping me situation. So I appreciate having advice like this in a nice video package I can watch to keep myself in check!
You r sooo right!! Get it out of house! I actually threw away Christmas candy just last week! It was literally calling to me! And once you detox it’s much easier totally eliminate sugar than try to eat moderately. It’s an all or nothing just like any addiction!!
What a great video!! My husband is diabetic and he is in denial!! I wish he can understand and realize that being addicted to sugar is a very dangerous situation!!!
I have diabetic for 2 years and being with that I can't stay away from sugar. I addict to sugar badly after knowing I have diabetic. I think this video will help me a lot being away from sugar. Thanks dear. I always follow your videos.
I am a nurse and stress to my teenage sons daily about the side effects of the sugary foods and sodas they purchase and consume daily. I am going to have them watch this video. You present the content so well; very informative! Thank you!!
Thank you for a great video! As I sat here thinking this is it I’m going to cut down on my sugar from now on as I failed out of the wagon in December your video came in a perfect timing 😀 Definitely will utilize all the tips you provided. Thank you!!
Same here. It is important to cut down the sugar I have been taking because having too much sugar is bad for our bodies. We tend to enjoy the sweetness, but we still have to watch out for the sugar intake because there are many things will impact our health. This video is very informative and inspirational. It helps me to watch out for my sugar intake!
Thank you! I’ve tried a number of times to kick chocolate; your video and it’s simple message has made me ‘check-in’ to my personal detox. I’m 53, started my fitness programme in Jan and am doing well. I’ve not had beer/alcohol for 90 days but always turn to chocolate - a time for a change. I’ve got 6 kids, the youngest being one year. Time to add a healthier diet to my now established exercise routine; my resistance bands arrive today following your associated video. Again many thanks 😊
Thank you for this, i have been following the perfect plate for 4 days and one of the exercise routine, fell off the wagon tonight, ate about 8 lemon Oreos! I have a sugar addiction.i have no idea where my self control has gone!

Holiday chocolates and sweets will be thrown out as soon as I finish typing this comment! Good emphasis on creating a healthier environment by removing harmful food (sugar) and not having a battle with willpower. Great video 👍
truly essential instructive video to combat sugar addiction , info provided here are eyeopening and the steps makes one highly hopeful in managing this condition.
Sugar is really easy to get addicted due to big companies that market sugar filled food to kids at a yound age which eventually turns into a long term addiction, this video really shows insight on the matter which i have not seen before.
Excellent video, i am addicted to sugar and struggling with my weight, i work out at home I go to the gym twice a week and I am not loosing pounds instead I am getting bigger and bigger😠,, thank you for your clear explanation.... 👍👍👍
WOW! Great info! I REALLY NEEDED to hear this and I WILL apply the steps immediately!! You described me to the T and EVERYTHING you stated is what I go through! I agree completely that you cannot keep sweets in your pantry and try to break a sweet addiction. THANK YOU for sharing this great info. Keep the GREAT info coming!
What a great video to watch for the new year. I needed to be reminded why sugar is so delicious but also how harmful it can be if consumed daily. I am now aware of how and when I'm consuming sugar. Great steps and tips on how to detox!
Hi. What caught me is all the sugar just staying in your body and around your muscles - encouraging the cravings. How do I get that sugar out of my body for good?

Have you heard of Joan Ifland? She offers support groups from FB. Good information here also. Sometimes we need more help with this. Cleaning up the media and the drive thrus too. It’s horrible out there.
Thank you for your very informative video. I forwarded it to my spouse. I normally do not eat any added sugar, not even maple syrup or honey. If I need to add a bit of sweetness to food I will use dates. Today I made chocolate chia pudding using dates. Dates are a whole food and are so sweet, a small amount of whatever it is in is enough. I have a small amount of the pudding and it does the job. I used to make banana nice cream too using frozen bananas, cocoa powder and a little plant based milk (if necessary) and vanilla extract. Instead of eating items with cane sugar, with a good blender you can make these incredibly delicious and healthy desserts with whole foods like dates and bananas.
I used to be a drug addict, I was at a really low point in my life before and during my pregnancy when I was 19. I quit everything, i don’t smoke, drink or take drugs but I’m now addicted to sugar. :(
When the pandemic began, I was a housewife who normally was pretty healthy and worked out a lot. I got lazy, gained 35 lbs and ended up with pre-diabetes. When I looked back on my life habits, I had been drinking a lot of Coke and other very sugary soft drinks, hard ciders, eating a lot of candy and other processed sweets. Now I'm trying desperately to stop these sugar cravings and doing pretty well. A problem I have is my husband and teenage daughter like their sweets. I can't throw out what is theirs so it's in the house, not that what they like is something I particularly like. But, it's still there. I have them "hide" it out of sight and put apples and such where I can easily get to them. I have to say brushing your teeth after dinner is powerful. My issue is that after eating supper, my mouth wants something sweet to counteract the good food. Brushing my teeth cancels that "craving".
I have 2tsp of honey a day is that bad? Also I use coconut sugar wondering how these rate as sugars? If they will hurt you like sugar does. Thankyou : )
Hey Peach, thanks for writing in and great question! While both honey and coconut sugar are "better" in terms of coming from natural sources, they are both alternative forms of sugar. And the detriment of sugar on our health is still present. While some forms, such as coconut sugar, do come with additional benefits, the amount you'd have to eat to reap them are far outweighed by the negatives that come with too much sugar. So if trying to break through this reliance on sugar, it's better to refrain than to "bandaid" the issue by masking the dependency. -The FMP Team
I just found your video and I’m curious if anyone has advice about how to get sugar out of the house when your family isn’t on board…especially if they are able to eat sugar in moderation. (I’m the addict!) I don’t want my kids to get obsessed with sweets because I am too restrictive at home. But I also eat their sweets when they aren’t looking. How have other people solved this issue? Thanks!
What about stevia monk fruit allulose etc? I don’t eat sugar but in my weight loss 80pounds journey I feel like I still have a sweet tooth. I’ve tried reducing the amount I use in my coffee for instance. What is you thoughts on all the non sugar sweetness. I don’t use Sucralose and the other dangerous sweeteners for health reasons.
Hey Colleen, thanks for writing in and great question. We are a fan of the natural sweeteners you mentioned and they are appropriate swaps for the harmful artificial sweeteners you alluded to. However, if wanting to beat cravings, using any type of sweetener only masks the issue, rather than solving it all together. And the only way to beat the sweet tooth is by refraining or at least slowly weening off most sweet tastes, artificial or not. Check out this video breaking down the artificial sweeteners for more info==>ua-cam.com/video/x1TbGMHZtV0/v-deo.html -The FMP Team
People always say get the sugar out of your house, but sometimes we live with people who do not support that and there would be an uprising. Do you have tips for those of us who don’t have 100% control over what is on our homes? It feels kind of hopeless right now.
Hey Kelly, thanks for writing in and great question! This is a very common issue for those looking to reclaim their health. We actually have a great video discussing how to handle this situation here==>ua-cam.com/video/kRpHYmLJku8/v-deo.html -The FMP Team
I needed this. There needs to be a Sugar Anonymous! I try to grab a piece of fruit when I have sugar cravings, but sometime that fruit is not enough and I'll grab a cookie or some dark chocolate.
sweets and chocolates are definitely delicious, but they do irreversible damage to our body, thanks to the information provided we can become aware of the proper use of sugar and the addiction that it produces.
Wow! I need to get better with my life. I love sweets. I need to love my body more. I think given sugar is a big problem. I want to see my waist again.
Hey Karen, thanks for writing in and great question! Stevia is one of the few natural sweeteners that we do support. You can find a good breakdown from Dr. A here==>ua-cam.com/video/x1TbGMHZtV0/v-deo.html -The FMP Team
Sugar leads me to binge eating I've tried to have in moderation portion size I weighed those malteser, cookies gummies, pastries but just makes me want to go back for more and even finish the full paks sizes, how can people say to have in moderation those stuffs it just make you crave more i found when i eat.whole foods not diets whole foods in the of t days im not hungry
Hi Donette, I hope you can take on board the tips given on this video to overcome your addiction. I try but it never works. Really want to kick the sugar real bad. Do you recommend and specific green tea? In the Caribbean it is harder to get the right things in my opinion, as they are more costly, or not available.
Hey Karen, thanks for writing in! You are right, that kicking the habit is absolutely difficult but is so worth it in the end. You can find some of our favorite teas, as well as other products we recommend, here==>fit-mother-project.helpscoutdocs.com/article/24-our-fit-mother-recommended-products-list -The FMP Team
Hey Michelle, thanks for writing in and great question! Monk fruit is actually one of our preferred sweeter alternatives (in addition to Stevia and Sugar Alcohols) when needing a smaller sweet fix. Check out this video detailing these options, as well as some of the more harmful ones from our brother FFP site==>ua-cam.com/video/x1TbGMHZtV0/v-deo.html -The FMP Team
Hey Anna, thanks for writing in! As a fruit, they are quite sugary with very little nutrition to show for them. Using the as a sugar substitute is a solid option but check out this video for some of our favorite fruits: ua-cam.com/video/mTPbsXXAPPU/v-deo.html Best of luck! -The FMP Team

I have to say brushing your teeth after dinner is powerful. My issue is that after eating supper, my mouth wants something sweet to counteract the good food. Brushing my teeth cancels that "craving".
🙏
Great video
Thank you Christine 🙏🏼
I use the granulated form of Pyure in my coffee. I'm wondering what you think about sweeteners. Could you do a video about sweeteners?
Hi my friend, please watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/x1TbGMHZtV0/v-deo.html

🤚🏾🤚🏾🤚🏾 yep I am. This video is truly an eye opener. And yes after watching this I can say I'm addicted to sugar 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️😩😩😩.
👍
I just found your video and I’m curious if anyone has advice about how to get sugar out of the house when your family isn’t on board…especially if they are able to eat sugar in moderation. (I’m the addict!) I don’t want my kids to get obsessed with sweets because I am too restrictive at home. But I also eat their sweets when they aren’t looking. How have other people solved this issue? Thanks!
Just don't buy sweets and stop eating for a while, and soon your won't need them anymore 👍
What can I use to sweeten my coffee is maple syrup ok?
Hi Deb, we normally recommend black coffee not sugar, but maybe stevia if you don't like with not sugar 👍
Check out this video breaking down the artificial sweeteners for more info==>ua-cam.com/video/x1TbGMHZtV0/v-deo.html

We actually have a great video discussing how to handle this situation here==>ua-cam.com/video/kRpHYmLJku8/v-deo.html

👍
You're very welcome my friend 👍
Very Interesting I like this sugar Addiction and best quality

How do you feel about Stevia? Are there any artificial sweeteners that are okay? I struggle with diet soda.
Hey Karen, thanks for writing in and great question! Stevia is one of the few natural sweeteners that we do support. You can find a good breakdown from Dr. A here==>ua-cam.com/video/x1TbGMHZtV0/v-deo.html

I hear ya. I feel the same one 😞
This is me. And people argue that sugar isn't addictive. I am one of those people that can't control the amount once I start.
🙏
This guy really knows all of our abysses! 😂
😄
I try but it never works. Really want to kick the sugar real bad. Do you recommend and specific green tea? In the Caribbean it is harder to get the right things in my opinion, as they are more costly, or not available.
Hey Karen, thanks for writing in! You are right, that kicking the habit is absolutely difficult but is so worth it in the end. I was wondering if monk fruit is as bad for you as sugar even though it'd natural.
Hey Michelle, thanks for writing in and great question! Monk fruit is actually one of our preferred sweeter alternatives (in addition to Stevia and Sugar Alcohols) when needing a smaller sweet fix. Check out this video detailing these options, as well as some of the more harmful ones from our brother FFP site==>ua-cam.com/video/x1TbGMHZtV0/v-deo.html

What’s your take on dates ? Are they a good sugar sub?
Hey Anna, thanks for writing in! As a fruit, they are quite sugary with very little nutrition to show for them. Using the as a sugar substitute is a solid option but check out this video for some of our favorite fruits: ua-cam.com/video/mTPbsXXAPPU/v-deo.html
Best of luck!
