I've always loved the Unicorn Tapestries. Had not considered significance the renderings of nature. Thank you for this, it's been fascinating and highly enjoyable!
Thank you, Theresa!
Can not wait to see these in person! Have loved them from afar for a very long time. Thank you for the brilliant insights into one of my most beloved tapestries.
Thank you!
This was an exceptionally wonderful discussion and is very much appreciated. Thank you. 👍👍👍
Yes! Nancy, Amelia, and Barbara are amazing. We appreciate you watching!
Thank you for fascinating commentaries on this Unicorn tapestry. I have a reproduction of it in my house and have enjoyed a few trips to the Cloisters especially to see the unicorn tapestries. My artist daughter even did a wonderful drawing of the gardens when she was seven back in 2008!
Always loved this piece, and it's nice to learn these insights. 💜
We love it too! Glad that you enjoyed, and thank you for watching.
thank you for your explanations, very, very interesting how they hunted the purity. I hope so much we get them one day back.
I’ve seen the Lady and the Unicorn and Five Senses tapestries at Le Musée de Cluny in France and often confuse them with this series. I absolutely love the artistry and details here- just incredible. I look forward to viewing these in person someday soon. Thanks for this content!!
What a wonderful story! We hope that you can visit soon, and thank you for watching.
Same...I didn’t realize how popular the theme was!
I really appreciated this video. Thank you!
We appreciate your viewership! Thank you, Roberto.
Lovely insight thx
Thanks!
This was lovely! Thank you so much for sharing! I've been to the cloisters on December 2015, I hope I'll be able to come back one day! This place is one of my favorite places in NYC :-)
We look forward to you coming back! Thank you for watching, Paula.
This is excellent. I am heading to see these tapestries this afternoon and wanted to learn more before I got there. This is very helpful... Thanks
Learned so much.....................A must visit to The Met.......................Thanks !
Beautiful! Looking forward to see this for real!
Great presentation!
Thank you for making this available. Very interesting, much appreciated. Hope to see this and the other Unicorn tapestries again some day. One possible correction to the commentary: "baby elephant"--not likely on account of the large tusks; instead, small elephant, to be in scale with the rest of the composition.
Really nice explanation.
Thank you!
Wonderful
Thank you for your excellent lecture on the magnificent and beloved unicorn tapestry. Unfortunately the visuals were difficult to access, often too small and confusing.
