Meeting Ukrainian refugees in Warsaw

- Thanks to the generosity of the Polish people, those fleeing the war in Ukraine have found shelter.
Sadly, the humanitarian crisis continues today with many refugees seeking shelter at accommodation centres like the one we visited this week.
This centre provides two free meals a day, Polish language lessons, psychological and employment support, and even a free shop giving its residents access to clothes as well as sanitary and hygiene products. It really is a sanctuary on the frontline of the humanitarian crisis.
Dzięki hojności Polaków ludziom uciekającym przed wojną w Ukrainie udało się znaleźć w Polsce schronienie.
Niestety kryzys humanitarny trwa do dziś, a wielu uchodźców szuka schronienia w ośrodkach zapewniających zakwaterowanie, takich jak ten, który dziś odwiedzamy.
Ten punkt pobytowy zapewnia dwa bezpłatne posiłki dziennie, lekcje języka polskiego, wsparcie psychologiczne i zawodowe, a nawet „bezpłatny sklep”, w którym każdy ma dostęp do odzieży oraz środków higieny osobistej. To prawdziwy azyl na linii frontu kryzysu humanitarnego.

Thank God for the Polish people, taking on board the mammoth task of caring for the Ukrainian refugees. Thank you to the Prince of Wales for taking the time to visit them and helping to raise morale. Україна переможе 🇺🇦🇵🇱🇬🇧
This is it. This is what truly "royal" work is: highlighting the kindness and fortitude of others that might otherwise go unnoticed. I'm so happy William made this trip.

The Prince of Wales did in my mind a wonderful thing to go to Poland and meet with the people affected by this terrible war as well as troops in Poland. Both HRH’s Prince and Princess of Wales demonstrate their humanitarian beliefs and thus support for those such as in Ukraine affected by war. Well done Sir.

These two people are absolutely amazing, I love the way they reach out to people who are in crisis due to a horrible war that seems to have no end. They shine a light on the refugee crisis and hopefully many people will respond. 👏💕
Prince William is such a loving, caring, man. He has such a sweet, compassionate heart like his mum. Prince and Princess of Wales both are the best. They really care about the less fortunate people in our world. They are such a down to earth, very personable, relaxing and are empathy towards others. Proud of both the Prince and Princess of Wales.

I am Ukrainian, living in Kyiv, never left it during war but you never know, Russians are ruthless killers who don't care about civilians, so you never know, maybe one day I will become such refugee. I even made visa to UK for the case Russians would occupy us but never visited Britain, hopefully one day as a tourist will come and visit. But from what I've heard Polish people helped a ton, a heart warming nation, as well as Germans and all the rest of EU. Thanks a lot for kindness of people's heart, it's what helps people to believe in Goodness in this world and keep going. God bless you because God is always by the side of those who are oppressed and victims of such Evil as Russia.
“Our children will go to school and nursery school, and theirs will sit in basement!” Petro Poroshenko declared, waving a finger. Ukraine was bombing children, families, women AND civilian men in the Donbass regions for 8 years. The excuse was that they were 'armed separatists sent from Russia' - well, why were there children there, and why would Poroshenko so outwardly despise these children? Ukrainian's BS arguments were buried with this one admission from Poroshenko. It is the Ukrainian fascists who are EVIL!

This all looks so perfect. The reality is quite different . Refugees stabbed each other in a hotel in Killarney and local businesses are reporting a lot of shoplifting of alcohol, even the local charity shops are being stolen from.

I wrote the below post after reading about william's visit and he may be global statesman, before listening to you, bookworm. Seems that we have similar views. Apart from repeating what I said above, i would say that if britain doesnt want royal family involved in constitution, royal family should not attempt to be involved in the global politics ...the world doest need them!!! If william persist in this route, our views and fondness, whatever little left for the royal family will turn into contempt!!!
Remember how russia got rid of their monarchy. Watch the same happen and despite our fondness for your kids especially charlotte, we will watch that w glee if the above happens.
