I grew up as a drummer in the 1970s, and was lucky to get introduced to Tony Williams New Lifetime and of course Fred. I thought I was the only guy listening to it...and in fact I played this tune for my drum teacher--who was a fabulous teacher and player--and he never heard it. But it has become a staple for fusion lovers. My God, what a great tune. If you don't know it, please find it and listen to it. And if you are drummer...good luck learning it...not easy at all.
