  • In a rare event, the French president is undertaking his first state visit to Germany in almost a quarter of a century, signifying a pivotal moment in Franco-German relations. Traditionally, these two nations have been the cornerstone of the European Union's development, especially in the aftermath of World War II. However, recent differences regarding defence strategies, the Ukrainian crisis, relations with Russia and China, and financial issues within the EU have exacerbated tensions between these influential European powers.

France is still fighting WWI against Germany in Africa to the detriment of us. Both should pack their bags, France especially, and go back to their shores. I guess Germany has enough of France's hegemonic, without the means, ambitions; France's posture as the EU dominant power while Germany sits as the Junior partner in this EU tandem, and provides the financial means for France's ambitions must be unbearable. This imbalanced relationship in favor of France is bound to lead to disputes or worse. In any case, both countries need to repatriate their fight; or disputes back to Europe.

France's Napoleon complex is a big problem. France should realize that Napoleon lost, after antagonizing the entire rest of Europe.

suk the bal** of putin, Xi and now Biden both for econmy and military, that's 100% sure, France will never follow such a bad path... Germany is putting all her eggs in the same basket all the time and puts the EU in danger. Plus the way the german system works makes the chanceler very weak and unable to move, unableto take a decision, that's ridiculous, I hope the project of 6th gen fighter will be canceled and that France will build it alone with other countries.

I don't understand why Macron doesn't purposely slip when referring to the "National Rally" and call it the "National Front"... since LePen has done so much rebranding to try to distance that party from its roots. A simple slip of the tongue by Macron could easily remind the French of this party's past and undo years and money spent on its rebranding....
