there's another SW named ultfone, with exactly the same user interface.
Plot twist : these repair companies are affiliated with apple. They are about apple outsourcing their device support, and making money from it. If itunes doesn't work, it's by design. I won't pay for any of these SW. What a cheat ! No more apple stuff for me. Expensive all the way, and unusable. Thanks.
@@potatochipappi of course ! software doesn't do magic. It does exactly whatever the developer instructs it to do. And Apple, thanks to their brand name, is able to hire the best SW developers (who won't leave big bugs behind).
Issues are indeed by design. Just like these constant iOS updates that make your device slower and slower. It's by design so you're forced to replace your apple device with a newer one.
it's the software industry equivalent of planned obsolescence, which industries apply for washing machines.
how else does apple convince you to dump that iphone you paid $1000 for, to replace it with the latest one for $1200 ?

WHAT!? This actually worked. I downloaded the Reiboot thing telling myself it was a bunch of garbage but 1) it didn't charge me anything and 2) it actually fixed my phone!

I'm having this issue where restores work fine in recovery mode, but using DFU doesn't work. When I try to restore using DFU mode, while it says preparing iPhone for update, my iPhone will reboot back to the lock screen, and iTunes throws error 4016 at me. This is a very strange issue because usually it's the other way round, where restores work in DFU but not in recovery mode.
This also happens with ReiBoot btw.
