Ok, so I've been diving into this band since ttpd came out to see what it was about him that pulled that level of anger, love, hate, despair, desperation etc out of TS and I get it now. I get it 😂 he exudes bad boy energy and been there so many times so yeah I get it 🤣😢
Yes, true. He is also very intelligent and well-spoken, interesting, has an incredible artistic spirit and stands up for causes he believes in. People don't really get to see that side of him. I think she was also very attracted to his brain, if you know what I mean (If you haven't watched it yet, watch the Zane Lowe interview with him from 2022). During the time this concert video was made for Somebody Else, he was suffering with his addiction to heroin. All the performances from this show are insanely good, but also sad if you know what he was going through then. After this, he got into rehab and stop using heroin, thank goodness ❤To my knowledge, he's been clean of hard drugs since then. He talks about it a lot in that interview I mentioned above.
That's rough, he's high AF and the performance suffered. Glad the crowd is still enjoying it. Saw them around 2019 it was much, much better. A life of fame is tough - I couldn't do it.

What confuses me about this is why is this live performance 105bpm when the original recording is 101bpm? At first I thought maybe time constraints but no because this version ends up being only 13.22 seconds faster than the original. A mystery.

As a recovering heroin addict who used for 20 years I can assure you that a heavy user will often not slump or nod off as the drugs effects only last a short time and after prolonged use you don't get high at all you just need the heroin to function as you get sick really quickly without it.

For context, weekend after this they played Latitude and they found him with heroin. Went to rehab after and he's doing much better since!
