This version was actually made for the DVD rerelease. The original VHSes and LaserDiscs used the OST version, but those were in mono. Because the DVDs were remixed in surround sound, they had to redo a lot of the music and SFX, which is where these discrepancies come from.
Watching footage from the original 1993 releases made me realise most of the differences that I assumed were just between the soundtrack and the episode versions were actually differences between the 1993 version and the 2002 DVD re-release. I assume the reason for the music sounding different was that they did alot of remixing for the conversion from mono to 5.1 audio in the DVD re-release
@@Takeshi357 Sorry to bother you with the random question but, in the final episode, right after DIO sucks Joseph's blood, does the laserdisc version include the scene where Star Platinum and The World are fighting in the air and DIO says the "Saikou ni "high" te yatsuda" line?
I did not know that this song is a prototype to Jotaro's theme.

3:35 used in the 2007 Phantom Blood trailer
Totally agreed
@@MrConnman123 agreed
Fav part because of that
1:11 I like how this sounds like Dio is laughing.
It's actually the Aztec chief who donned the Stone Mask.
This ver sounds better
I agree
@Mimler Presents No, this theme just more expressive for me, it sounds more aztecish, another version sounds kind of muffled
@@Galvatron102 I do prefer the other version tbh.
This sounded like cowboy Bebop mix with Egyptian music
i love me the Korg M1
I need to pick the M1-rack one day, it sounds so good.
Bruh why does the ova version of Jotaro look so much cooler
Cuz he is cooler

Ova Jotaro sometimes looks like solidus snake from mgs2

The weird thing is that this version is only on the DVDs as far as I can tell. The one on the Laserdiscs sounds more like the other version!

Btw, do you have any footage from the laserdiscs?
@@bortus-kun1684 Unfortunately I haven't got a capture device
@@Takeshi357 Darn, I was only asking cuz I've had zero luck finding laserdisc rips online
