You missed some of the really basics. I just had a friend play the game for the first time today. I had to really explain slots, how to see what types of enhancements can be slotted on a power. How to find a vendor, etc. The real basics for a new player.

Ya you should for sure go way in depth with these educational videos. I absolutely wish they were around when I started. Also you should point out Mid’s/pine hero builder and other programs for COH. Can help show how enhancements help boost your powers and why it’s a waste to 6 slot say recharge (easier to see/explain?) Also it’s great to have a dedicated COH UA-camr 👍

Also worth pointing out that generic (non-set) IO strength depends on level. So low level IOs will be equivalent to training, and SOs are going to be stronger when you first get access to them and for quite a while afterwards. Only at very high levels do IOs actually become better than SO, but for obvious reasons it's worth equipping IO once they're at least close to SO strength since you won't have to constantly replace them.
I'll add to this by saying around level 22, you should look into getting at least a few level 25 Generic IOs slotted in your main attack powers and./or toggles. True, they will not be as good as a SO in that slot, but they NEVER wear out and the difference is minimal. As a level 30 IO, they are right about what a SO gives, and once you can slot level 35s or greater IOs, you know that they will be always better than a single SO. Great video my man. I did one similar but I rambled for like an hour. Very clean, professional and succinct.
i heard it was 4 of the same enhancements, is this true? anyone know? how come i see builds sometimes with higher lvl characters, and it looks like they have all the same type of enhancement lol .. like they have 5 or 6 slotted with the same looking enhancement..
Sometimes it depends on the build you are going for and which power. You will still receive a benefit, but it will be less with each additional one you slot. There will always be exceptions. For some builds it's still worth it. That's part of what makes this game so great. Just about anything is viable. Just depends on what your end goal is. I hope that helped!
End game builds usually involve Set IOs or Attuned/PVP IOs so that may be what you were looking at, they work like gear in other MMOs where slotting more then 2 pieces provides additional benefits and you can stack these effects for some very powerful builds, up to 5x for the same effect even if its from a different set. Even though they look the same different parts of the set have different benefits, you can use them to get crazy stuff like 100%+ natural recharge or capped resistance/defence. They are a very expensive investment from 1mil to 35mil inf per piece, you can get the recipes from random drops sometimes or trade merits in for them.
ok so, if I get like some weak IOs (if im 30+ but I get an IO thats 12) I should just slot that immediately over duals or singles because the benefits I get from it are greater than what the store bought ones can provide? Cuz I feel like Im spending way to much money buying duals or singles everytime I level up and they go red and have to replace them.
Your video was very informative and helpful but could you make a video of a more complex type of enhancements like the ones of the sets to be exact the enhancements sets that you can find the recipes for them
On the Homecoming servers I've noticed you can get Dual Origin enhancements from the super field trainers next to the level up trainers once you reach level 15 (only tested in Kings row however)
With AE xp reduction--- Can you make a current video on best farming missions for xp, and best farming mission for influence gain. I would do best missions for level 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s. Warface here

I think the training, dual and single origins are only good for 4 levels below and 4 levels above your current level also. IOs don't lose their value. I think?

Not yet I downloaded it had work early so couldn’t get on but tonight will be making the hero! 🙌 I was skeptical at first because was told we can only do task forces and no missions lol I don’t mind the grind but just killing things over and over reminds me of my Everquest/ff11 days
So how do you replace ones you out level? I know you can replace with a different kind but when I replace a damage one with damage it tries combining them.

Good all around video. However, you made a few mistakes. The first one, atleast on the Homecoming servers, you can buy dos and so off of any vendor. I tried this in Atlas, and was surprised to see a basic vendor selling Sos. Second mistake about diminishing returns. Yes, there are, however, if you slot 3 of the same type say so's you will still get 33% to that power, for a total of 99%. Diminishing returns only star t after the 3rd.

Merit vendors also give out enhancements. You get merits from Task Forces for sure. You may be able to get them other ways.

You can click and drag enhancements that you want to delete down to a little trash can in the bottom left corner of your screen.

Generally, you'll get the recipe as a drop, rather than an actual enhancement that will enhance multiple aspects of a power.
That's great but the darn game is so old I don't even know how to APPLY the enhancement.

Once I used a catalyst on my enhancement, I could not use a booster on it
