  • I will show you all the basics you need to adjust your shock absorbers. After that u can use this technique and apply it to your own car and shock absorbers with your own preference. I use this for speedrunning but it can also be used for other street driving styles.
    Enjoy the video!

In Nascar racing they often want the suspension compressed onto the bump stops in order to maximize aerodynamics, just like you are doing. When they need to change the handling characteristics, they can use different types of rubber for the bump stops. I know your road is very smooth, but I was thinking you could test some different types of tubing at a slower speed. If you test with very light springs (or no springs at all) you can see how it handles at a slow speed. By the way, at the end of the video your car looks very high in the rear and I think you can also limit that with the same type of tubing inside the shock.

I did not know this technic was also applied in proffesional driving. With my Slash i have done the same, nylon bushings and rubber rings to soften it a bit more.
When the speedrun season starts in a few months i hope, i will testdrive my Limitless and Slash again at "normal" speeds to get a refreshed feeling for the cars. I will certanly try to optimize the cars for new PB's :D!
With the Slash i dont have droopscrews on the lower arms to adjust ride height. To adjust ride height inhave placed nylon bushings inside the shocks. With the Limitless i can easely adjust it with the screws in the lower arms. And yes the rear of the Limitless is set verry high. This can be adjusted in 2 minutes without re-adjusting the spacers on the shock shafts. The spacers on the shock shafts limit the lowest point the car is able to compress to.
