Great Video! I'm working on a Titanfall 2 cloak pilot helmet which doesn't have a visor, and i've been trying to figure out how to do something like this. This helped a ton. Thanks!
Great Video! Opens up a lot of new possible project ;) But the availability of these glasses is so low, that there needs to be a new easier product to use it efficiently, lets see what time will bring us. As for Helmets: Helldivers 2 - Cutting Edge Warbond - EX-03-Prototyp 3 !!! It is the perfekt helmet for this, and has the CCTV camera already in its design, it might get a little crowded in there ^^ Would love to see this one ;)

Can you post a link to the model of camera you used? I’m using an avegant Glyph headset I got a while back, and while it’s only input is m-hdmi, I can buy and modify an AV converter for peanuts
I did this 10 + years ago with a hasbro boba fett helmet custom painted , parts sealed with fan and full ventilation system and neck seal to “hotbox” myself and once done press button to activate fan and expell smoke through side and rear vents
This video randomly popped up on my feed, but this idea is perfect for the helmet I want to build! A bit pricey so I'll have to think up a good way to justify finding a pair to buy 😁.
Ive been working on a droz helmet from Titanfall and this is EXACTLY what ive been looking for. Got a small camera from ebay and tried to make my own VR from those Google Cardboard sets but its not great. I can't find these glasses anywhere though, not in stock at least.
What material do you usually use? I see a lot of people say PETG but I also see a lot of PLA. I'm thinking about starting an armor set and can't decide what to use.
So as someone who loves saint 14 i noticed his helmet immediately in the video. Are you working on a video for that? I wanted to use this strategy to do his!
Very cool! Imagine putting a secondary camera in the tip of the horn that you could switch between, might give a pretty awesome over the shoulder effect, maybe even better with a fisheye lens :D
I'd have to dig up the individual's name again, but a few years ago I purchased a mini camera with eyepiece display for the purpose of building a similar project. It wasn't as expensive, if I recall, but it was a solid all-in-one camera and display setup.
@@Pokeboi1691 Had to dig around a good bit but found the name. Guy selling the kit goes by "PropsItYourself", he has an Etsy listing for the setup. The one I see listed is around $400. I've printed the helmet Galactic Armory shows in this vid and am currently trying to figure out where the heck I stashed the camera / eyepiece setup so I can start mocking it into the helmet.
Hey quick question regarding cosplays im thinking on getting a death trooper cosplay however i dont know what or where to get a voice changer thing got any tips or something?
I did this about 10 years ago with a pepakura elephant mask I turned into a Zombie Babaar costume for a Halloween zombie crawl. I wanted the eyes to glow red and also wanted to see... I used an fpv camera wired into a video board then into two LCD screens (think I got them at adafruit... Worked well except with only one camera I had no depth perception. Now that I am into 3d printing I want to revisit that idea and I'm glad you guys put out this video. If anyone is interested and has the wiring skill... The components for analog video goggles are readily available and you can build these yourself for relatively cheap. Adafruit has various sizes of LCD screens, usually the problem is needing a lens to help your eyes focus that close to the screen.
Now, might be worth noting that there are alternative methods methods of being able to see through a helmet of this style if you have different techniques and hardware available to you. Another option is to do it like the visors on Halo helmets. Vacuum form the entire front dome piece, and then paint it from behind. Getting the weathering and such would be trickier, but it would result in most of the front dome being visible from behind.
Or, in that black section where they mounted the camera here. You could cut that entire flat area out and turn it into a black tinted visor. There's always a way, even if you don't always have the exact stuff Galactic Armory uses.
🤔 do you have a tutorial video on slicing up a helmet for print? *goes to check channel * 😳 I have a set of glasses like them! ... 🤔 hmmm need to get printing now
I used a Chinese knockoff of those with a low light camera and IR LEDs to make a diy digital night vision headset approximately 10 years ago. Lots of fun to make.
This looks so amazing! If you guys do more destiny stuff, look at the Seventh Seraph Warlock helmet from Destiny2, it’s a favorite of mine ❤ and it doesn’t really have a visible place you could see out of the helm
This would be AMAZING for a Trauma Team helmet
thats the FIRST thing i thought too
I was thinking about TRON helmets. 🤔
Yeah Im making one right now, considering using this, idrk where id put it exactly tho
Yo that's actually super helpful. I've always wondered that for doing cosplay helmets that you can't see out of. Thank you so much for the video.
And the helmet stayed on......
😊

Assaultron from Fallout 4 helmet! Only has the one eye in the front so would work great.

" Have you seen that ball toss? He is a danger only to himself. ".
I can't wait for these goobers to make a full length found footage movie with this helmet
Funnily enough, we considered doing an ODST squad found-footage horror short using this method!
@MjrProps LMAOOOO I was joking and didn't think there was a chance that'd happen but that would actually be really cool
Can you post a link to the model of camera you used? I’m using an avegant Glyph headset I got a while back, and while it’s only input is m-hdmi, I can buy and modify an AV converter for peanuts
I don't have a direct link since we bought it secondhand
You should design the rest of his armour I would definitely buy it

Whoa, I don't play destiny so I thought the entire slot shape was a webcam or something. I can't believe the camera is that small.
This video randomly popped up on my feed, but this idea is perfect for the helmet I want to build! A bit pricey so I'll have to think up a good way to justify finding a pair to buy 😁.
thats the method ive thought of using for helmets like that!amazing work
can you make space marine armor??

There are these newer glasses called XReal, they are 1920x1080 per eye and are just as small. Although the camera probably aren’t that res anyway

I’m a bit confused on how you connected the camera to the glasses, may I ask for how you connected them???
Ok I love this but why can’t ppl use helmets with camera and stuff like that now and days like what they made but metal and comfy and stuff ya know

Any chance an automotive backup camera might give a better picture?
I cannot find a single pair of those glasses under 220 dollars
Whats the Camera you used and how were the glasses connectes up
“I hate and love destiny-“

the Knightmare Flash helmet from Zack Snyder's Justice League has a solid face.

This makes me nostalgic for my cosplay days, a video goggle helmet was one thing I always wanted to try.
I’m a big fan of destiny two
I’ve been looking for a solution to this problem for a while! Definitely need to use this!!!
Kamen Rider Hibiki
Is there a glue kit? I don’t know what to buy as far as glue and accelerator.
This feels like an actual life hack, galactic armoury always comes through 💪
Awesome video. What adhesive do you use for you prints?
Awesome video. It would be cool to see how you guys put fans into helmets sometime
I have been waiting for this! I thought you forgot!
gabriel??
WARFRAME
Literally my exact idea. Any plans for the rest of the suit
Not at the moment but it's something we might come back to!
I need it
For the love of god stop calling it "gun-gear"
It's pronounced gung-neer which is essentially the same.
I don't see the issue, considering he's basically saying that already
