    Thank you for this video. And thank you for responding in the comments.
    My issues started a year and a half ago.
    Random pelvic pain, usually stabbing.
    Mostly in my public hair region. Sudden onset of frequent urination with burning. Went to the doctor because I thought UTI. Checked ok. Had pelvic ultrasound twice, and everything looked "normal".
    No hernia either.
    Pain continued off and on. Sometimes worse than others.
    8 months ago, after w pretty bad case of Covid my PSA # jumped. And jumped again 3 months later. Urologist thought it was a fluke. His examination showed a normal size and feel for my prostate.
    Retested PSA 3 weeks later and PSA came back down.
    Now I deal with random stabbing pelvic.l pain, urination stream is much weaker than before as well as ejaculation force.
    Visited a pelvic floor therapist locally. Unfortunately they don't take my health care insurance and I can't afford $150 per visit so I stopped going.
    I do some stretches but it doesn't seem to help sometimes painful.
    Please answer this part..
    Is it normal to feel more pain after kegel type exercises?
    It is really scary to me. I feel at a loss. I don't know what to think..
    Thank you!!!

      To answer your question at the end, no it is never normal to have pain after kegel exercises. Unfortunately, it is not appropriate or legal to give specific care or advice without being a patient. We understand it can be expensive but we encourage you to seek out an evaluation of a provider near you to better understand your symptoms. You can check the www.isswsh.org website for both medical providers and PTs in your area or www.pelvicguru.com. There may be some that do take insurance, it is also worth asking about sliding scales as some practices will do this in specific cases of financial hardship.

    Can you please tell me if penile pain after bowel of movement is usually one of the symptoms of the pelvis muscles/nerves dysfunction- neuralgia? If not, then I have prostatitis. Please answer me.

    • @PelvicHealth
      @PelvicHealth  Рік тому +2

      Thank you for your questions. Yes, penile pain after a bowel movement can be caused by irritation to the pudendal nerve. Often this is because the pudendal nerve is stretched especially if the bowel mechanics are poor, one is straining, or has constipation/constipated stool. Sometimes, this can also be a referral pain from a trigger point. It would be best to get a thorough assessment from a qualified pelvic floor PT to help you. The treatment plans can vary depending on the root cause of the problem. You can book a virtual consultation with us here: pelvicpainrehab.com/telehealth/

      @@PelvicHealth But even if I don’t have constipation I will still have pain a deep pain in my shaft till the glans. Then it takes me at least 11 hours for my penis to get rid of the pain. It is worth noting that I have the same pain post ejaculating and the more intensity the more painful I get and longer hours to recover after. My urologist is saying I might have an inflamed prostate but I don’t know. I did all tests. I will finish my second year now. I just thought of asking you again as you see im still desperate. I just want to know if I look to you like I’m having a pudendal stretched nerve (i know it is hard to tell but please give me anything) and if I do, do you think kegel exercises will help. • @PelvicHealth
      @PelvicHealth  Місяць тому

      It is not normal to have pain during or following ejaculation. It could be due to the pelvic floor muscles being tight as performing Kegel exercises would only tighten the muscles that are already constricted, causing pain. It is difficult to say without performing an evaluation so we would advise you to see a pelvic floor physical therapist if the pain continues so that they can accurate assess what is going on and help you further.

    Guys I suffered with pudendal neuralgia for 1 year. Once STDs are ruled out, and no physical damage happened eg a fall, childbirth etc then the problem is nerve related. In most cases it is just inflammation. The solution for this is to take vitamin B12 injections to the buttocks. It works directly and doesn't go through digestion. I took 5 doses on each side of the posterior for only a month ( 2 times a week) and the pain was gone, and my pain levels were extreme. Good luck

A 2020 systematic review of 24 published articles (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7468922/) reveals that there is some evidence of moderate value to support that B12 therapy can reduce peripheral neuropathic pain. We suggest working with your doctor, including a pain management specialist to explore interventions such as this.

      It would be a good idea to follow up with your urologist again. Without knowing more information, it can be hard to know exactly what is happening with your case. If you think there may be a pelvic floor muscle component, you can make a virtual consultation with us here: pelvicpainrehab.com/telehealth/

      It's possible that the discomfort on your left side might be related to pelvic floor muscle tension or a nerve irritation that occurred as a result of the activity you described. Sometimes, even without visible signs like redness or swelling, underlying muscular or nerve issues can cause persistent pain. The fact that you notice it more when walking or applying pressure suggests it could be linked to muscle tension or a minor injury in the pelvic region, which can happen with various forms of sexual activity. Pelvic floor physical therapists are trained to assess and treat such conditions, often using techniques to relax and stretch tight muscles, improve blood flow, and reduce nerve irritation. An in-person consultation with a PFPT could provide a targeted evaluation and treatment plan to address your specific symptoms and help alleviate the annoying discomfort you're experiencing.
