It doesnt matter much either way. But i agree with everyone else here. Because the MC has a changeable name, all crew members refer to them as Danchou(Captain) . At least via voice. Technically the text log will use the player selected name, but because again names are changeable, Danchou(Captain) is used instead verbally.
@@Solbrave00It’s like how in Persona 5 the canon name for the protagonist is Ren Amamiya or in Pokémon you get to name your character even when they have canon names, it’s just a way to connect the player with the character more.

Cause you can choose between Gran or Djeeta.
Also cuz you get to name them. So they can't exactly record voices for custom names so they have to stick to one name they can record
