I love mine, too! 🥰 I’ve tried to make bags or do mending on heavy coats or jeans using my domestic machines, and the poor things just can’t do the layers. Not even my vintage Janome-those old ones with the metal innards do better than the newer ones with the plastic gears. My LSZ walks right through the tough jobs, no skipped stitches, and the outcomes look great.
The learning curve between my LSZ and me has been pretty steep, I will admit, but...we are making friends. Believe me when I say it is all on the operator and not on the LSZ! Learning to match the thread size and the needle size to the fabric has been wicked. Figuring out how to get the proper tension has also been a challenge. But my Mother always said that if you can read, you can do anything, so my owner's manual and I have had a lot one on one time, lately! I am thoroughly enjoying my new voyage of discovery! Thanks!
The owners’manual really is good, and Sailrite has some helpful videos about tension adjustment. They also have some charts on their website about needle and thread sizes. I’ve printed out some of their info for later reference.
I love my Ultrafeed! It handles quilting cotton and Sunbrella with ease. I even made myself a hand needle book and it sewed through a crazy amount of felt. ❤
My LSZ is quieter now that I have been using it for many years. It’s my favorite of my seven machines. It’s sew through so many layers of fabrics -my most valued features😁❤️
Oiling of the machine is done manually, it is covered in the Guidebook here: directus.sailrite.com/assets/aaf9069d-e382-4bd0-b922-eb0bbea4c6ae/Ultrafeed_LSZ_Guidebook.pdf Yes, the machine can be removed from the case and installed in an Industrial Table or Collapsible Table as seen here: www.sailrite.com/Sailrite-Ultrafeed-Industrial-Sewing-Table or www.sailrite.com/Ultrafeed-Collapsible-Sewing-Table We do not recommend using the machine without a case or sewing table (like mentioned above). It only has three feet when standing alone, not enough to support it well.
It's the best machine on the planet so why it's so difficult to find in Europe? also all the amazing stuff on the website now with brexit it's just too expensive why no retailer in Scandinavia?
@@MrWightHD Thanks but unfortunately I live in Sweden and the guy in Italy only sells the actual machine but not all the stuff in the website all the accessories. I think a brand like Sailrite deserves a bigger market 😎
Sorry to hear that! We can usually resolve any issues with our machines as our sewing machine service and support is unmatched. If anyone else has an issue with your Ultrafeed Sewing Machine email us at: info@sailrite.com and we will get you up and sewing again!
@@SailriteDIY, I had an issue recently with my needle going up and down while refilling a bobbin, even with the posi-pin removed. The advice I got from email support was spot on-I followed the clearly given instructions, and the issue was resolved. Thanks!
I have the LSZ....its a beast...and I smile every time I press the pedal! Thrilled with the purchase.

Are you still doing these portable machines for Australia / Europe? (220v-240v)
Hi David,
Sorry, but we no longer offer a 220-240V LSZ.
What about the oil how does that work? Also can you take the machine out of the case and still sew?

There's a retailer in Italy, Ferrari Mario or something similar or Solent Sewing in the UK
