Got to see and meet them earlier this year in May on Cruise to the Edge. Great, down to earth, humble guys. Talented musicians. A phenomenal experience!

Really a beautiful piece of symphonic prog. That would be the first prog epic I would ask a girl to listen to :)

There can't be too many reactors who have done a Moon Safari track. Skellefteå is where the group was formed so it was their home town.

The JustJP channel reacted to Constant Bloom & Methuselah's Children (off their Blomljud album) about a month ago.

I never think epics are too long. It's all about capturing and maintaining my interest for the entire track. It could be 10 minutes and boring or 40 minutes and exciting or vice versa.

They write much of their music in major keys. That's a "major" reason why it sounds so uplifting and positive, to my ears. My best discovery of 2010, at RosFest. These guys are very friendly, always smiling and quite approachable. TBH, when I first heard this song I thought it was about 15 minutes too long. After a few dozen more tries I think 5 minutes less would make it perfect. 🤣🤣 Looking forward to meeting you on the next CttE in 2024.

Skellefteå is a place in Sweden. I'm Norwegian. We used to travel there for summer vacation camping trips. Skellefteå is in fact my first ever experience with a drug-head. I was in Skellefteå, I was 4 years old, a dude in a grocery store was convinced my father had kidnapped me and my older brother. I later learned he also had a knife on his ankle.... everyone else working there or customers were scared for their lives. But I did not know any better, and just thought he was a "funny person" / "clown." He even fell into a clothes basket at one time, so high he was. That's when I thought he was just silly. But when my dad pushed me behind himself, and diplomatically try to mediate the situation, then I "sort of" understood what was happening. That he was a "bad man, daddy protect from" - but not really understood until a bit later. I got a good memory though. I'm 40 years old now.
