This guy reminds me a lot of of Tom Osborne. His demeanor, play style, 20 some years at the helm.
Much respect to UNI. The score didn't show how hard those kids came into a packed Memorial stadium and ran the ball on a top 10 run defense. I will continue watching this team through the season.
Tell you this much, if Nebraska plays this team last year, I think we lose, or squeak by.

I was really impressed with this team. Great O line play against a top D line. They moved the ball well with great play calling and execution. As Huskers we love heart and grit and this team showed huge heart and true grit. Hats off to these guys.

As a Natural Born Husker Fan, I am proud of our Fan Base, just looking at the Positive Comments towards Northern Iowa. Thats what we are about. I can't say the same for other fan bases. I have seen some B10 Team's Fans that are utterly deplorable. Husker Fans, stay classy and Good Luck to Northern Iowa, you will see in the future that you lost to a Championship Caliber Team
Of all the fbs schools uni played the nebraska fans were the best fans I've seen by a mile. They were so nice it almost threw me off. Way better than wisconsin and especially Iowa (worst fans in my opinion) would love for nebraska to beat the hawks!

Hats off the their oline I thought they blocked very well. And Farley scheme and game plan on offense was great. Just lacked some more jimmys and joes

UNI is a great football team. I thought Nebraska played well, but UNI was right there with them on every play. They should be proud of that performance.

I was shaking my head all week listening to Husker Nation talk about 40 to nothing blow out of UNI. They under estimated UNI as they UNI ran the ball against them. This was a good test for Nebraska going into the Illinois game.
I mean, 34-3 ain’t far off. Yes, it was a tough game, but we did what we needed to do and took care of business and the final score was good enough.

I thought UNI played a good physical game. If we played like last year and gave them a number of turn overs on the wrong side of the field they would have won the game. Good to see Nebraska played well as a team overall and held up to a physical opponent.
Good coach
The margin of victory is deceiving. Northern Iowa played a much more competitive game than the final score would indicate. This felt more like a 28-20 game. I was impressed with the run game. Great concepts, they always seemed to have more blockers than defenders at the point of attack and it seemed we could never get a solid hit on them. Nebraska helped with some sloppy tackling.

The way these guys played they played hard at a level above that of some FBS schools.
Before the season, I commented UNI would be tough. Everyone doubted me. They always are, which showed their ignorance. I'd be willing to bet the Husker players would say they were much better and tougher than the Puffaloes.

Team played tough, I don't think I agree with the coach that this was a game they could win. You scored 3 points. You ran the ball better than I expected but the outcome was inevitable.
Yea o respect the team and players, but in no time during this game we're they gonna keep up or even come close to scoring with us. He didn't give our defense enough credit imo
Can somebody in the Athletic Department PLEASE arrange to get that crooked outlet plate (or whatever it is) straightened out? Better yet, create a more professional backdrop for these opposing coach post game interviews. It is embarrassing.
He should have gained more respect like Madrid did is that a crime about holding call the day Garden when Nebraska got holding calls to Donnie and why they lost the game and he needs to give Nebraska that he should have gave Nebraska to respect like Matt rhule gave his team respect after getting their butt whooped by Nebraska

I can't remember the last time I heard a coach say a 34-3 loss was a winnable game but I really think he sees it that way.
