I have a great respect for you brothers . Being as young as you are, as a proud boomer , I have more respect for your insight than most of your online millennials. One thing I believe in the documentary category on the Beatles is Peter Jackson brilliant documentary on a 1969 documentary should be on Your radar as much as The Summer Of Love. In my perfect world, Quest Love and Peter Jackson would share this Oscar. I would love to hear your opinion on that .

Love your list except LICORICE PIZZA which I consider to be the worst film of the year-- focusing on two characters I personallyhad no interest in rooting for -- separately or together.. And endless. Very disappointing esp from Paul Thomas Anderson one of the finest directors.
Thank you for giving In The Heights an honourable mention because I really think that movie was slept on. If we were living in non-COVID times and larger crowds had the chance to experience the film in cinemas, I genuinely believe that In The Heights would have been considerably more popular, consequently giving the film a stronger nudge forwards for awards season
@@clownfromspongebob3979 i would agree but the In The Heights hype died down way before West Side Story released. Not to mention Tick tick boom and Cyrano also overshadowed it by being better musicals in general
i saw 50 movies last year but theres still a bunch that i still need to see but here's mine 1. C'mon C'mon 2. Red Rocket 3. Drive My Car 4. tick tick... BOOM 5. Inside 6. Titane 7. Judas And The Black Massiah 8. Licorice Pizza 9. Spencer 10. The Worst Person In The World

LOVE THE #1 PICK 🔥🔥👌 Very disappointed the Academy community couldn’t even acknowledge it in a shortlist, let alone give it a win. What cinema is supposed to be: original, daring, expressive, rule-breaking. Catch up Hollywood💯
Wow, Brother Bro's analysis of Titane is quite thought-provoking and profound. And slipping the word 'anthropomorphize' in there, using it in the right context and pronouncing it perfectly. I am impressed. How you two have so much knowledge and education and taste coming from your generation, haha, is a mystery to me. Sorry if that sounded condescending, just calling it as I see it. Anyway, I love that you exist. It gives me hope for the world.
My top 10 1. Licorice pizza 2. The power of the dog 3. Nightmare alley 4. The tragedy of Macbeth 5. Belfast 6. Drive my car 7. The worst person in the world 8. C'mon c'mon 9. Dune 10. Mass

6/10
THE LAST DUEL
7/10
THE POWER OF THE DOG
8/10
IN THE HEIGHTS
THE MITCHELLS VS THE MACHINES
_QUO VADIS, AIDA?_
TICK, TICK, BOOM!
9/10
THE FATHER
_TITANE_
Spender is reallly bad !! Its not even the truth about Diana !!
lol
No Titane pls! It was too brutal and too gruesome! I recommend for you Irreversibile from 2002 by Gaspar Noe (brutal and gruesome but with some kind of twisting revelations)!
My top 5 for 2021: 1) Belfast,
2) King Richard,
3) The Rescue,
4) CODA,
5) Summer of Love
and special mentions: The Power of the Dog, West Side Story, The Mitchells vs the Machines, The White Tiger and Help.
I didn't saw yet Licorice Pizza, Flee, Drive My Car or The Tragedy of Macbeth!
And mostly overrated for me are: Dune: Part One, The French Dispatch, The Green Knight and Judas and the Black Messiah.
My top 10 favorite movies of 2021
1 C'mon C'mon
2 Flee
3 Pig
4 CODA
5 The Power of the Dog
6 West Side Story
7 Dune
8 The Green Knight
9 Spider-Man No Way Home
10 The Suicide Squad
Is there a better example of the redundancy of twins?
Love your list except LICORICE PIZZA which I consider to be the worst film of the year-- focusing on two characters I personallyhad no interest in rooting for -- separately or together.. And endless. Very disappointing esp from Paul Thomas Anderson one of the finest directors.
I am anxiously awaiting the release by me of Vortex, the souvenir part 2, parallel mothers,
and hopefully Memoria fingers crossed
Thank you for giving In The Heights an honourable mention because I really think that movie was slept on. If we were living in non-COVID times and larger crowds had the chance to experience the film in cinemas, I genuinely believe that In The Heights would have been considerably more popular, consequently giving the film a stronger nudge forwards for awards season
Nah it's mid
I feel like it was destined to be an Oscar contender and could definitely win a couple stuff. Until West Side Story came out and blew everyone away.
@@clownfromspongebob3979 i would agree but the In The Heights hype died down way before West Side Story released. Not to mention Tick tick boom and Cyrano also overshadowed it by being better musicals in general
Completely agree - my #1 of the year!!
@@thecreatorleoyuh141 Cyrano was terrible.

LOVE THE #1 PICK 🔥🔥👌
Very disappointed the Academy community couldn’t even acknowledge it in a shortlist, let alone give it a win.
They are educated and I believe both study film. Don't let their goofing persona fool you.
My top 10
