I love how Archers Voice makes every recommendation video! It Happened One Summer is the ultimate summer romcom! I’m so glad you aren’t letting pwmov turn you off of Emily Henry because her other books are truly amazing!! (Think literary fiction with romance subplot with her though!)

I absolutely loved One Italian Summer! It has easily become one of my favorite of all time. Idk if it's the vibes, the worldbuilding, the character development, or everything all together that made me love it so much. It made me want to go on my own trip to Italy this summer 💓

If you’re looking for summer vibes but still wanting to branch out into thrillers, Reckless Girls was wild! Not too spooky but lots of “stranded on an island” suspense. 🤓🌴

I read one called ‘The Castaways’ by Lucy Clarke recently and that was a good thriller, also ‘The Beach’ by Alex Garland is one of my favourite books - ever

Loved One Italian summer on audio! I don’t normally like books on audio unless they’re a memoir but if you’re a Lauren Graham fan she is the narrator. It was excellent. Loved the food descriptions. I think I listened to it over a few days. Got a lot of cleaning done while listening & really enjoyed it ❤

I recommend Lost and Found by Nicole Williams for a ranch-set summer book. It has 2 broken people, bad/grumpy girl & good boy.
And Morgan Matson has summery YA contemporary w/ romance (my faves so far are Amy and Roger's Epic Detour & Since You've Been Gone. Second Chance Summer is sadder but good. If you read A&R, then SCS, then SYBG, in that order, the character cameos flow well, but any order is fine

Re Taylor Jenkins Reid - have read 5 of her books and so far my favourite is ‘The seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo’ followed by ‘Daisy Jones and the Six’ was not as keen on ‘Malibu Rising’ and I don’t remember much about ‘After I Do’ and the other one I read ‘Forever, Interupted’ maybe? I don’t remember much about either - I think she is a good author though

I loved we were liars it was the book that got me back into reading and it very much is a hit or miss book for a lot of people but I think it’s a great like coming of age book to read when you’re like 16-17 the same age of the characters and you’re trying to like ease back into reading
