I still remember the first time both pewds and his audience saw this for the first time during his one YLYL episode, and how it legitimately brought both himself and others to tears just by the quality and the fact it showed basically his entire career and everything that brough him to today. Even now, this is still so amazingly well made, and it is in of itself still hits me emotionally somewhat. Heck, I didn't even grow up really watching pewds, but something about seeing a music video like this showcasing his entire time on the platform up until that year hits different for some reason.

I think this is the best video of bad history, because unlike previous and subsequent videos of the channel, this does not seek to be controversial or a parody of a character, this video is wholesome and a gift for pewdiepie, showing his best moments, and making us feel notalgia, and happiness for what pewdiepie has make until today
I agree, Felix is kinda like "the father of UA-cam" since 2010. I remember watching this while lockdown. Pewdiepie even reacted to this wholesome gift. You can see Felix started to tear up a bit at the end lol.
I love how the line "this is so insane man" has a different meaning every time. In verse one it refers to his amazement at his channel growth in verse two its a self acknowledgement of how crazy his content has gotten in verse three it's about how he was becoming less and less happy with youtube and the negative perception people had of him in verse four it's referring to the "insane" resurgence in his popularity and support from his fans during the controversies in verse five it's about his wedding which is kind of the culmination of him growing up and in verse six its just him making content he really enjoys for his fans really well done on that chorus that it could fit every "era" without changing the lyrics at all.

It's great to see people appreciating the absolutely brilliant animation, but I think a lot of us are overlooking the lyrics. If you look at them, you'll notice how the lyric "never small again" is changed to "going small again" based on the phase of his career showed in the video. The lyrics reflect how Felix might've been feeling during those different times throughout his career (eg the bridge controversy). Anyways, I just thought that was really cool.

I think this is the best video of bad history, because unlike previous and subsequent videos of the channel, this does not seek to be controversial or a parody of a character, this video is wholesome and a gift for pewdiepie, showing his best moments, and making us feel notalgia, and happiness for what pewdiepie has make until today
I agree, Felix is kinda like "the father of UA-cam" since 2010. I remember watching this while lockdown. Pewdiepie even reacted to this wholesome gift. You can see Felix started to tear up a bit at the end lol.

In verse one it refers to his amazement at his channel growth
in verse two its a self acknowledgement of how crazy his content has gotten
in verse three it's about how he was becoming less and less happy with youtube and the negative perception people had of him
in verse four it's referring to the "insane" resurgence in his popularity and support from his fans during the controversies
in verse five it's about his wedding which is kind of the culmination of him growing up
and in verse six its just him making content he really enjoys for his fans
really well done on that chorus that it could fit every "era" without changing the lyrics at all.

It's great to see people appreciating the absolutely brilliant animation, but I think a lot of us are overlooking the lyrics. If you look at them, you'll notice how the lyric "never small again" is changed to "going small again" based on the phase of his career showed in the video. The lyrics reflect how Felix might've been feeling during those different times throughout his career (eg the bridge controversy).
Anyways, I just thought that was really cool.
