First
Brave is better.
Is opera GX good?
no.
Levy never fails to make me sit at the chess board and play with myself
In chess or literally?!!
@@chapter1564 did he stutter?
Ayo
Relatable
pin of shameee
Levy: I thought people didnt know how to move pieces backwards until 1500!
Also Levy: if you are below 1500 moving pieces backwards is ALWAYS a bad idea
Hang on this whole operation was your idea.
🤣
The most brilliant part of this video is that Levy managed to not stare through his audiences souls in the first few seconds of the video 😂
He made up for it at the end
that subtle stare at 1:20😂
@@10RJ72😂
The furtive little glance up at the end said more than any soul-piercing stare in the opening ever could.
@@10RJ72lol very subtle
This was actually such an amazing video! Analyzing 1200 ELO games is actually super instructive, I love it! More like this, please!
You should check out Chess Vibes recent rating climb series. He's in the 1600s now and it's all been very good learning material.
The ending of this video was so satisfying. I laughed for a solid 10 seconds and normally I don't smile or show any emotion.
YO FOR REAL
Same
His facial expression was particularly good on that one. What an ending.
kinda a dark comment. I mean no smiling or anything is crazy
I literally lol
I wasn’t even expecting it to be so abrupt 😂
Levy never fails to change the title of a video within half an hour multiple times.
Man knows his algorithms
@@plane15man what does that do lol
@@boredhcr2Some titles will grab attention better, so he's trying a few until he finds one that does well.
Same reason you may see some channels change their thumbnail image a few times when a video first comes out.
0:00 Yes, in my room.
same, it was yesterday
I love how Gotham put a very subtle plug to chessly within a sponsor spot 😂😂😂
fr
He's playing 5D chess
He sacrificed... THE SPONSOR
Not 1200 yet around 550 to 700. My first brilliant move was while I was 620. Sacrificed a knight to get checkmate. It was my greatest move ever.
I got my best as not 1 but 2 In a row
Rook sacrifice and queen sacrifice(won on next move)(as 550 elo)
share the link
What !!! no kidding, share thelink to the game@@prince_bk
@@Lets_MakeItSimple deleted account a long ago
I think mine was either when I sacrificed a bishop to win a queen, or also sacrificed my bishop to win a rook.
I love when Gotham roasts us
As a 1250 I can relate to this game so much. Openings getting more solid and then just wild stuff with a lot of plot twists happen during the game 😀
Levy never fails to disappoint us
Yeah, guess so
It's going out of India
@@hatke1wtf does that even mean?
I was disappointed with no, "get out of here". Just commercial
@@mahbubfarhan pretty sure this type of comment originated from some Indian UA-camrs comment section
I laugh at the end omg! Thank you Levy, I used to play chess like garbage and now I bought your beginner course and I’m close to 600 and beating consistently 500 after falling down to 400. I even didn’t finish the course yet, chapter 9 is coming.
Thank you so much I will buy the E4 and Caro can just after!!
PS: you should think about an offer where we can buy all your courses. I will happily pay for it.
It's actually really helpful to see games around my skill level get analyzed.
Just got back playing after 15 years and thanks to levy I am back bringing the heat! 💪🏽✌🏽
Nice
Doubt it
@@spikemctavish8720 lol
Levy never fails to make my day worse 😂
Everybody give this comment a like! Lets make this comment the most liked comment
This man spittin' fax
Lets make this the most liked comment so it can get the pin of shame lmao
@@asahi7955 also a great option
Bro wanted the pin of shame🤡
If someone still didn't get his first brilliant move, you can get a free one if your opponent plays the Damiano Defense against you. Since it's a really bad response by black (Defends the center pawn but blocks the bishop, and also loses on the spot) and a relatively famous opening in low elo, you can sacrifice the knight and take the center pawn, and there, your first brilliant move.
True, but this is called the Damiano Gambit, and it is theoretical, book moves. And i separe teh brilliant moves, what does that mean? Well when i play an "brilliant move" that comes from an opening trap it doesn't count as a brilliant for me, since i wasn't the pne who made the move, it is just all part of a trap and the moves are memorized
@@cocenjoyer85692 Mate, this was a little help for new players to get one if they didn't, i know it's not a "real move".
Thank you for making a video about people at my level this will definitely help a lot of other intermediate players.
I love the silence after the checkmate
Gotham chess : "the motto of the game is never resign"
Also Gotham chess : *trashtalks every opponents on his games because they are lost and won't resign
I really like the intermidate game analysis, it feels way easier to understand and I can focus better on the video and dive deep on it.
The end with the ad timed so welll 👌 not even mad at the ad
But yeah chess = lots of emotions, you really felt them through the replay
Levy, I hit 1500 rapid last night. Thank you for getting me into chess study, teaching me the principles, and teaching me the openings I play (some of which I’ve played since I was 600). Keep sharing this awesome game with people.
watch danya
@@ifty7017 I watch Levy, Danya, and Hikaru. I like each of them for different reasons and can’t see myself not watching all three unless I stop playing chess. Danya is an amazing creator.
Congrats! Kudos to reaching a new milestone!
Thank you levy for the consistent uploads. I always stay up late just to wait for your videos.🎉❤
Fantastic ending. Really committed to the bit.
1200 is like that awkard phase in chess puberty when your going from being an intermediate player to an advanced player. You never really know what your gonna get.
I got my first brilliant move yesterday during class, good times
levy has a heart of gold and chess of a master hats 👑⛑👒🎩
"are you still rated half of that".
Didn't need that personal attack.
that silence at the end made me feel melancholic
After he talked about the brilliant moves, I decided to play a chess game for the first time in awhile and got my first brilliant move
I literally gained 700 elo in 3 months, thanks to you Levy!
What elo are you? Just curious
@@GigaShiv i started at around 500, now I am close to 1200 😊
I started in March now I'm 1100 on both Rapid and Blitz. I also gained a lot of points because of Levy.
Its all you buddy. Nobody can win them for you.
I'm 320 in blitz and proud. I've had some crazy wins and a lot of losses and / or huge blunders, but it is still fun
Okay this was one of my fav games. The roller coaster of emotions and ending has me laughing out loud
Levy never disappoints
We should do another Poll to see the actual stats of what elo GC viewers are.
These are my favorite videos you make, these and GTE. I was laughing out loud at the end
That eye contact at the end after you said "if we do the math.." letting me know that the whole time I thought I was following along with that logically thought process it was just a mockery of the 1200 brain
Every since I started watching levy, I've lost 300 elo and a braincell each vid
-3k elo soon
Everyone: Opera
Levy: Opra
We are not the same
Gotham: Do you rememberd when you croosed 1200 chess elo?
Me: *Can't even remember my password*
"Sieze back the tempo" is actually really instructive. Thanks Gotham!
Sieze the means of checkmate production, comrade!
The other day I completely destroyed a 1800 hundred in two different games, as a 1050 on a irl board. That made me realize that I can get a lot better at chess, and part of thr reason why I'm getting better is your channel and your advice . So I wanted to thank you levi👌🏻
HE was bored
Levy is more consistent than my life difficulties 🙂
I want my, Get out of here!
😂😂 the ending was brutal
yo levy i just watched the video on “checks captures and attacks” just had my highest accuracy with 92% the computer said i had an inaccuracy but MAN it works!! ur awesome bro. Subbed and i’ll be getting the course
video starts at 1:37
I started playing chess in January my rating at that time was 400 and now it has gone up to 1300 . My goal is to be a 2000.
tips for a 1000? (like maybe openings or tactic or something)
@@geographynonsensical5003 Learn a couple of openings for both sides and the thing you need to work on is to actively think about what you are doing and not making mistakes caused by tunnel vision or similar, basically
@@geographynonsensical5003I'll give you one don't hang pieces that also means don't make a piece over worked, what I mean is don't let a piece protect more than one piece alone because a good sacrifice would make you lose more
@@geographynonsensical5003 bro don't blunder and punish opponent blunder that's literally it
@@alvinkihika7263 oh ty i never thought about that overloaded tactic but i just hear about it
Levy this was a very instructive and useful video, please can you make more content on intermediate chess.
triple exclamation mark, ingenious brilliancy at the end, thanks for the lesson Levy
Day 30 asking for rook b1 song
FIRST🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❤❤ PLS PIN
shaddup, u aint first nor does anyone care
I ACTUALLY didnt expect this ending
of course i remember my first brilliant. bishop sacrifice with check to win the opponent's queen.
The LEVY STARE was magnificent
The ending of this video was so satisfying. I laughed for a solid 10 seconds and normally I don't smile or show any emotion because I sold my soul for some Fritos in 2012.
Same except mine was for feet pics
Btw I don’t regret my actions
Stare 💀
Levy was so pissed off he didn't even say get out of here. He knew we'd do it ourselves out of embarrassment.
Personally, I think you should never resign unless you're playing against a user named SavageOppress, in which case you should give up even if the position is equal or you're completely winning.
The silence at the end is loud 😂
I was expecting anything, but the ending caught me off guard!
Levy's disappointed face at the end had me laughing.
The end is the funniest chess content I've seen
I liked the ending where he said "Get outta here"
If you think I'm gonna watch a man discuss what's happening on a virtual 8x8 grid for 21 minutes, you'd be right.
I was 837 when I played my first brilliant move. I captured Black's queen by sacrificing my knight to a pawn
The ending is mint. Thank you for that brother 🙏🏽🤣
That's not how I expected that game to end.
I just love 12-1300 content in this channel
You're the only one that somehow makes me watch your sponsor lol, your editing is just really good.
That was very intense at the end!
watching levy play review chess games has become a daily part of my life
Levy takes the car salesman / sport commentator roles to the next level
Levy called the knight a kangaroo 😂
I love it when levy said its cannon time and cannoned the intermediate chess players
Don't forget to make a video about the different tournaments!
Was not expecting to get humbled in the first 10 seconds of the video, thanks levy
that’s the greatest plot twist i’ve ever seen in my entire life
props for levi for getting high level sponsors
my first brilliant move was an accidental bishop blunder but game review said it was brilliant so i didn't think it counted but the first one i did intentionally was a bishop sacrifice to pin the queen to the king with a rook
At the beginning of the video, Levy asked two questions, oh my 🤣🤣 he said you don’t remember that too? 🤣🤣
Fantastic video i never think this 1200 elo games gonna be so interesting and yes instructives with the great explanations of Levy!!Thank you for the lessons! And for the funny jokes he made especially the Kangooroo joke!!!
That ending was absolute gold 🤣
ok this was a pretty regular game from my perspective, im about at this elo and that's the kind of mistakes i make. VERY instructive
My man just violated half of the population in those 12 seconds
Loved that therapy seasion section 😂😂
"The rook is not a kangaroo" - Levi 2023
lmao I remember my first brilliant moves. They were all before I knew ANYTHING about chess beyond how pieces moved and take the middle, I got a whole bunch of them and not even one of them was doing what I thought it was doing. Once I knew more about how things worked I stopped getting brilliant but started having way more fun. It's better when you're good on purpose, or know exactly how badly you're getting flattened.
Levy should review some of Tyler's chess games hes been playing on stream
Tbh the vods of gothams other channels are super fun cuz he acts naturally instead of being a goofy friendly guy
13:03 THAT REACTION THO 😆 🤣 😂
(And that ending too)
Opera One "with a completely resigned look". Blud's bringing chess into every aspect of his life lol
I love this channel thank you for these videos
oh my god the ending on this video is absolutely spectacular.
After said 'The rook is not a kangaroo," he should've said, "Welcome to Gothamchess recaps." 😭😭
Levy, the best chess enthusiasts in all internet
You know it's a rough video when it doesn't end with " now get outta here"
5:10 lmao, i love ur humor gotham
im kind of surprised that i still haven't gotten a single brilliant move by accident considering how many wild games i've played
