I can't imagine what these parents go through. I don't know if I would've made it through that song if I was Danielle.
Important to remember! This gifted musical singer has NEVER HAD A VOCAL CLASS... ever! That clarity, precision, pitch perfect and ever so musical voice is her birthright. She a treasure from the get go. If you didn't see her process of growth on THE VOICE you missed one of the most amazing transformations you could ever see. Blake Shelton as her chosen coach, played a pivotal part in Danielle's journey. He deserves kudos and gratitude f'sure. Danielle listened to him and learned every bit he had to offer. Brilliant collaboration!
The pain the mother feels must be horrible. I bet he was a great man.
What a beautiful emotional song. I lost my son when he was 17 and the first time I heard Danielle sing "I will Never Forget You" it seemed like she singing to me about My son Tim. Seeing this mothers pain and photos of her son throughout his life was an honor. What a Tribute to Americas Fallen soldiers!
Wonderful tribute Danielle. For those that lost there loved ones in the Audience, God bless.
Nice job, Danielle. RIP to all who have fallen.
Danielle was amazing! She did really good on that song, and those poor parents who have lost their children in war. RIP.
Again, couldn't be more proud of Danielle. At seventeen she just got introduced to the magnitude of how meaningful her songs and participation can be to people in a very different way. To me its clear, having watch just about everything ever put out on Danielle that being introduced to the realities of war while trying to entertain has added to meaning to her work....she was broke up before and after rhis performance. You did well sweetheart....hope you continue to do this memorial concert.
You said she was broke up before and after the performance...Did you read that somewhere? I was wondering myself how Danielle was handling the actress telling the story of the mother losing her son Kris. I know I was crying. I can't imagine having to perform after hearing that story.
darrell mckinney No, its just an educated guess having read her face and have seen what she posted after regarding Arlington. Also, who wouldn't be affected in a moment like this.
victorstennis Thanks. I know I was all teared up. I was amazed at how she held it together so well. I assumed just like you did that she must have broken up before and after but she is amazingly strong and her performance still so great that it was hard to tell. Amazing...17 years old, those circumstances to have sing what is such an emotional song to begin with.and she nailed so much that we just have to guess that she teared up. Wow!
Danielle sings awesomely beautiful "I Will Never Forget You" song for the U.S. Military Veteran sons and daughters who make the ultimate sacrifices to serve, defend, and protect the American people and the United States! The parents, family, and friends will never forget you! Great tribute song for people who have lost loved ones in loving memory that they are in our hearts, minds, and souls, and we will never forget you!
🇺🇸❤️😇😍😊💔😇😍😩😭
Such an emotional moment!! Amazing Danielle.
After watching her performance on PBS Sunday night I went back and watched her blind audition of Mean. In a years time she has grown so much not only n her singing ability but her performing . Like Adam said after she sang "Wasted" on the Voice, "She must have ice water in her veins". To sing that song after the mothers comments by that actress was really amazing. Danielle has been given many challenges and overcomes them all. Fantastic!!!
I agree completely….I just spent some time tonight defending @dbradbery on twitter. A woman Charleston Girl @BTiBeauty put up some comments regarding the Memorial day concert on PBS saying that it was disrespectful to Ruth Stonesifer and poor placement by PBS to put someone like the winner of the Voice on after Diane Weist… Her quote back to me was that Danielle did not have the gravity to follow a actress the caliber of Diane Weist telling the story of Ruth Stonesifer and the loss of her son Kris….I’m sure this woman doesn’t even know the song "I will never forget you" is Danielle’s own, off her album, If she had ears she would know the lyrics of the song and the performance were perfect for the moment and I’m sure Ruth Stonesifer, Diane Weist and just about everyone else felt that it was also!
I can't believe the emotion she puts into this song in this performance!
Danielle has always moved me with the passion in her performances. Seeing her live was a special time for me but this performance, with the circumstances surrounding it was heart stopping. Bravo Danielle. Bravo.
I've heard this more than once & still, every time have to hold back the tears!! If I can! One of Danielle's most beautiful performances to date!!!
She has come a long way in the last 14 months! Nicely done!
It's like she is meant to be a true star! Continue to be better every time!
Incredible performance by Danielle. The situation she was put into would have made most adults break down. You can't help but to feel the pain the mother was going thru and Danielle's song and performance perfectly honored the moment.
She did a great job. You can hear and feel the emotion she put into the song. It had to be very hard for her to sing that song after hearing the story that was told just prior to her performance but, she nailed it.
I think they should have kept it country for this version. Why did they replace the pedal steel and country electric guitar with brass instruments? Now it just sounds like a pop song. However, I am not saying this is bad; Nonetheless, I love this video! This performance must mean alot to that boy's parents.
I listen to this repeatedly and it sends chills up and down my spine every time. What a voice !
Wow just wow. Danielle your an amazing person and such an inspiration
Once again a beautiful performance.
