Great seeing young people down enjoying some bottom time and respecting the reefs. I'd offer one correction, the plane was sunk in 1979 (I was there), not 2009, though the narrator may have been referring to hurricane activity. There is a reference to the airplane as a dive attraction in the September 2008 issue of Sport Diver Magazine. We ran out of time during the lift stage so the bosses decided to tow and moor it overnight in Cockburn Harbor. Watching a good sized airplane bobbing around in the bay over sunset cocktails was one of the most surreal sights of my life.
It is great to see younger people out in the water enjoying it. Thank you for the info on the wreck. We appreciate it. We were going off the information from the dive centre about the wreck. What an amazing experience and incredible night. One to remember for a lifetime for sure!
That is why we love working for Kids Sea. Camp is teaching kids to dive and explore the underwater world. Holly started at 4 years with them and now runs weeks as instructor for them 😊
@@BlueHorizonDiving very cool you guys! We so need to have more young people diving and learning to love and protect the ocean! I am looking forward to seeing more of your Turks and Caicos adventure. I was invited to do a liveaboard there this year. It looks amazing.
You seem to travel quite a bit for diving so I thought I'd recommend a couple of my favourites in Grand Cayman. Ocean Frontiers on the east end, and Sunset Divers on the west coast. I am enjoying your videos from the east coast of Canada where the water is now 4 degrees and dropping. Happy New Year!
Thank you Barry, Yeah love Grand Cayman as normally dive with DiveTech there. But heard Ocean Frontiers and Sunset House are awesome. We were living in Bermuda but work for a company that flies us into locations for their weeks. So we have just arrived in Roatan for their week here.
What are the underwater video gears that you used? We will be on vacation in Turks and Caicos at the end of June. My son and I want to try diving there. We never dived before. We have 6 full days over there. Do you think we have enough time to get trained and certified, and then participate in real diving? Thanks
Hey, where are you diving or staying in Turks? For example, if in Provo, you can reach out to Dive Provo to do your open water course. You can do the theory through elearning. They would send you the PADI elearning so you can complete it all before arriving in country. Then once in Turks, you would do the quick review, confined water traning and 4 open water dives. Depending on how they structure the training but this could be finished in 2-3 days. If on other islands, it ks all the same, just reach out to the PADI dive centre there. But you should be able to easily do in the time you have plus time to explore and enjoy Turks.

@@BlueHorizonDiving We will stay in Provo. I will take your advice. Thanks again.
Always welcome to help. I am guessing by your handle you are an Aussie, you could always learn in Oz before going.
