After a 12 hr shift in the ER i take off my shoes and scrubs off in the garage and then straight to shower. I dont feel comfortable doing anything until im showered, then i’ll get something to eat.

Two boiled eggs with fruit is one of my typical breakfasts too. I like your nails. The color is pretty. You should also sanitize your phone too (if you do use it at work).
It's really interesting for me to watch your videos as I now live in the US but prior to coming here I worked as a nurse in Germany. Some of the differences truly baffle me like the difference in hygiene and dress code. In Germany you're not allowed to wear your scrubs home or choose your own scrubs. You receive your scrubs from the hospital and they will have your ID number in them. Before leaving you throw them into a laundry bin in the changing rooms and they will get cleaned by the same company that cleans all other materials like bedding etc. Then you receive them back folded into your locker. You're also not allowed to wear any personal clothes underneath your scrubs for the same sanitary reason. And the only jewelry you're allowed to wear is a simple wedding band and necklace, as well as stud earrings. The first time I saw a nurse casually strolling the grocery store in her scrubs freaked me out so much until I learned that it is normal here for nurses to wear their scrubs outside of work.
Lol thank God I thought I was the only one who did the shoe thing. I take my scrubs off at the door, put them on at the door. I have clean pairs of scrubs and a laundry bin in the entry closet. Hand sanitizer in the entry way, car, purse, pocket. Disinfected wipes in the car and a Lysol spray.
Finishing up my Associates. Finishing up Anatomy & Micro, probably going to get B Micro and a B in Anatomy but there’s a slim chance I can pull off an A in both classes. I’m about 1-3% away from each. I’ll probably get an A in 1 of the classes, hopefully both. Your videos are so inspiring to me because of how positive you are and how you talk about your loved experience. My teachers grade really hard and I’ll be applying soon to programs & I cry almost every day because I’m so worried when I score Bs that I won’t be smart enough or good enough to get into a program. It’s not well talked about how Nursing Classes take a toll on your confidence and mental health. A lot of people don’t fully dive into the stress and anxiety and all the ugly crying that happens before applications in your sciences. Thank you for doing this channel, it helps so many of us because nursing is for the strong willed, strong minded, those who believe in themselves, and the bravest of hearts.
Okay, I'm gonna put my two cents in, too. "You're not as humble as you used to be"?! It's called being proud of your accomplishments. And "a doctor has more right to brag"?! So, I already know this person brown noses doctors on the regular. Keep up with your grind, girl. You're an inspiration to nursing students, little girls, and not so little girls who dream of becoming nurses. 💖💖

I was an M A for a pediatric office for 10 years and I would wear double layers so I could take one off once I got home because my kids just wanted to hug me when I got home and I was afraid of bringing all the germs home too . Good medical field trick👍

Hyosomoo yes. I sanitize my phone when I get in from work. Even once I get in from the grocery store. I scrub it down with Clorox wipes. Lol

I work 7-3 as a nurse. I can't even think to put on makeup since I'm so sleepy. Some days I wish I could've. You truly inspire me lol
