Hi Jim Your video was very informative. I do have a question of quantity to cover the boundaries of a 1arce lot. I live in a wood line property that's mostly clear around back to woods and want to plant these as a border line. Can I just plant seeds....how long would it take to see results and will deer eat berries. Thanks hope to hear from you.
seems i may have a problem . been on this prop about 11 years .the leatherleaf growing in my yard is about 6 ft tall about probably10-12 wide . until 4 months ago it was nested up against a full sized crap apple tree . big storm her in nc i lost my apple tree and now this will be open to the sun from 11 am until sunset . not sure if it will survive the direct north carolina sun
I have one of these trees that has been at the edge of the woods that has been here for almost 50 years! It is vfc about 9-10 feet tall. How do I regrow this somewhere else? I love this tree/bush!!
+Callum Bannister There are so many new introductions that it becoming harder. There is a plant identification Facebook page that you can join. You simply put up a picture and people quickly identify it. I try to participate in it some.

Take some cuttings and follow Jim's planting instructions.
Any idea how to tell the different species apart?

This is recognized as potentially being invasive in New York.
