- There are few movies ever made that have the ability to bring me back to the time from which it came, like "a bolt of lightning." This is one of them. In this video you will see some of the Los Angeles filming locations seen in the 1984 comedy classic. Including: Axl's apartment, Rodeo Drive, the hotel where he checked in and out of with robes and without paying, the art gallery, Victor's office - where he gets thrown through the window, and the Beverly Hills Police Station.
This movie has a great cast of characters, a solid story and some of the best music in movie history. The soundtrack featuring Patti LaBelle, Glenn Frey and others along with the score by Harold Faltermeyer are legendary. It’s a one of a kind, very funny and hard hitting 80s flick.
This was my first Rated R movie. My parents had the VHS cassette hidden in a black case without a label on the top shelf haha. I remember the first time I saw the Opening truck chase and Inspector Todd locker room scenes... They definitely set the tone for this great movie.

This 1984 movie was so huge it was still showing in theatres in March 1985 in the U.K. . First date with my new girlfriend. I was 19 years old then. Now, 56 and we’re still together.

The Millennium Biltmore Hotel was also the location for the prom scene in Pretty in Pink (1986). Great video!

The bar scene with Harvey Keitel and Warren Beatty in the film "Bugsy" was filmed in this hotel as well. I was on business for a week and was able to stay here. Very nice. But I didn't see Axle Foley, Ben Siegel or Micky Cohen.
This was actually a filming location that was recommended a few months back by one if my subscribers ill send him the link once its up good shit cant wait to see this one. Its classic movies like these with that kind of comedy that i miss

Epic films. 1st and 2nd one are prob my favourite films of all time. The 3rd one was ok,just didnt have the same feel to it. Love seeing the locations where it was filmed. Almost makes me wana travel from scotland just to see them. Ha. 👌🏻👍🏼 where is his lions jacket displayed?
I couldn’t agree more with your opinion of the three films... It’s always fun but sometimes mind blowing to see them in person... Scotland, now that’s a place I’ve wanted to visit for a while! 609 East Channel Rd, Santa Monica, CA. I was there once but the images were low quality and wouldn’t have blended well w this video. I ran out of time on that trip to revisit. I’m going to do a big video for it in the future.

@@Inaworldoflove Yeah, the formula is strange. Sometimes I have to publish and check for an issue before publishing. Then go back an edit some more to get it right. It can be a hassle at times.

Funny thing, I’ve actually been to the house but the footage I had was too old to include in this video. I’m going to eventually do a second part for Bev Hills Cop. I will def include the Maitland House. Hopefully, I can be allowed onto the property.
I’ll probably end up doing everything all over again, in one big video.

Ah, you missed out the bar in Detroit where they played pool, and also the police station.
I’m going to do the full tour in the future. Hope that bar still exists. I’ll def get the bus chase lol. The police station is a warehouse building on Mateo St in downtown LA. It was used in a few movies. I also want to try to get into the room at the Biltmore Hotel. The backyard of the mansion would be wild.
The City of Los Angeles is known for heave congested freeway traffic almost all the time!

I actually didn’t forget, the footage didn’t come out right. This was one of the last videos I did before upgrading my camera. I only was able to shots of the street, couldn’t see the house from there anyhow.
