2024シーズンはマウンテンアングラーとしての更なる高みを求め、自らの得意分野である「山の釣り」を追求する旅録を続けています！
今夏のテーマ、USAロッキー山脈の渓流探訪。先月のコロラド州から始まり、メインシーズンとなるこの夏7月には、ワイオミング州、アイダホ州、モンタナ州と広大な異国の大地、広範囲にわたるエリアをターゲットとしてを続けてきました。このチャレンジを記録した動画シリーズをお楽しみください！
第一章では、日本で110を超えるポイントを地形図から厳選リサーチ、セレクトしたポイントをもとに、ワイオミング州北部エリアを探索、序盤から素晴らしいネイティブトラウトとの出会いがあり、その中でも「リバーカットスロート」に魅了されました。
この出会いをきっかけに、釣果やゲーム性を超え、生態系の深淵を探求する旅へと導かれていきます。 釣行の中盤では、上流部や源流、枝沢、小規模渓流を中心に足を運び、混じりっ気のないカットスロートの姿を追い求め、山々や各山系、地域ごとのカットスロートの特徴を探る旅が始まります。まるで遠回りのようにも思えるこの探索。しかし、この道こそが最も近道であると、私自身の経験から確信しています。上流部の生粋のネイティブとその自然、生態系を理解することが、そのエリア＆山・川・全体の理解となり、最終的な釣果、釣り自体のクオリティーに繋がるからです。 最高級の自然とネイティブリバーカットスロートとの出会いの瞬間を共有します。

Thank you for your thoughtful question! Yes, I understand that in the Jackson Hole area, over 99% of the fishing community is dedicated to fly fishing, which has a rich and long history here. The most important thing, however, is a deep respect and love for the trout and the natural environment. Introducing something new can take time and may initially be met with some hesitation, but I’m enjoying fishing in the upper streams with a style that I find to be the most fun. Ultimately, it’s about the shared passion for the fish and the beauty of the wild places we all cherish.thank you for your support🤝🇺🇸

Do you like the 48 or the 53 Great Hunting Huntsman more?
A 4.8-ft rod is ideal for the uppermost reaches of streams. The 5.3-ft rod, on the other hand, is versatile enough for midstream to upstream areas. When targeting trout over 40 cm, I personally prefer using the 5.3-ft rod.
@@fukuyamafishingch.7238 thank you! I am looking for the most fun for smaller trout under 40cm. Do smaller trout feel the same on the 4.8-ft rod vs the 5.3-ft rod? Or is the 4.8-ft rod more fun for small trout?

I use heavy wire to target big fish, so I need a powerful rod, or I use a Huntsman 6ft. The size makes it a little easy for the needles to get tangled, but it is possible.

The medium wire is great for brook trout and mountain stream fishing, and of course the heavy wire is great for brown trout fishing.
