      Thanks Paul! Took around a decade to slowly build up.

    Damn how that poor 4040 base profile holds everything and not bending. Not lying flat on the floor adds to that a lot...

    • @gster109
      @gster109  4 дні тому

      LOL the 4040 is definitely struggling, this is an ASR1.. I'm kinda upset that even with an NRG seat, a couple months after I bought it, the main rails were super bent and I'm only like 160lbs.... ASR says this is normal and fine I guess lol.

    That extra aluminum profile on the casters is a unique way to add some height to the rig.

      Thanks! I was stacking 2x4’s under it before 😂 This was probably one of the best things I’ve done for the rig since it allows me to move it so much quicker, basically the way it was intended.

    great setup my man, this is the wheel is will order for sure. But i read that the wheel is quite heavy (approx 2kg). How your alpha mini base handle the wheel? you have a good FFB with that weight?

    • @gster109
      @gster109  4 дні тому

      No need to worry about weight of wheel. FFB is perfect.

    How do you attach the wheel to the base? Mine doesn’t click. Theres no way to fasten to the wheel base. It slides on and off with out the release. Alpha u and GTS wheel

      @Sithhy 21 день тому +1

      Contact Simagic about it, sounds like a defective quick release on the wheel side. Also, what happens if you pull the quick release towards you, put the wheel onto the wheelbase & let go of the quick release?

      @@Sithhythanks for the reply. I did get it to go on. I mean I was lining up the pins on the wheel with the gold tabs on the wheel base. And it still wasn’t clicking. Eventually after a few hours of messing with it I somehow figured it out. I honestly don’t know what I did wrong nor do I know what I did right to make it work. But it does seem to work now 🤷🏼‍♂️. Now I’m learning all the pedal settings. Hoping this weekend I can get it all working and play some gran Turismo 7

      @@marioremondino9837 Yeha, from what I know the quick release & the shaft need to be aligned a certain way to make the wheel go on as the balls in the QR as well as the divets on the steering shaft are not spread evenly, so due to that it can only go on in one orientation. Next time if you will have trouble getting the wheel onto the shaft, just power on the wheelbase, let it calibrate & after that it should center itself which will let you easily put the wheel on

    Hi, nice video, one question, how do you put your keypad on the aluminum profile? I ordered a similar keyboard but I don't know how I'm going to put it on the profile.

    • @Sithhy
      @Sithhy 21 день тому

      Most likely used double-sided tape or velcro

    • @gster109
      @gster109  4 дні тому

      Pretty strong double sided tape will do. Just dont smash the buttons and it will stay on fine.

    Hey bro thanks for the video!
    Im looking at the alpha mini and circular GT Pro wheel like you. How does the alpha mini feel with the larger PRO wheel on it? You ever feel like you need more power and got the alpha?

    • @gster109
      @gster109  8 місяців тому

      Hey no problem I'm glad you found it informative! I would say you have nothing to worry about in regards to how heavy the wheel is. I have the FFB percent at 100% and the NM output only at 3NM!! It feels perfect & the base goes all the way up to 10NM!

    Proper video. Congrats. How do you get to play gt7 on it without using the Sigma Cortex? I’m curious because in my country I’m not able to buy the Sigma cortex

    • @gster109
      @gster109  8 місяців тому +1

      Thanks, i'm happy you enjoyed it! Unfortunately you would need the Sigma Cortex which would be the easiest way to get this going. The other way is with a GIMX + DriveHub solution but it's much more involved to get that going.

    If you added .75 more inches to the diameter of the wheel do you think you could still reach the paddles comfortably? I’m thinking about getting a 14” wheel for the hub and using it for ovals.

    Why are you playing GT7???
    You have a great gear, you should be playing a real sim

      😂Yeah I feel you man, I need to get into iRacing soon. The whole reason I got a direct drive was because my t300 felt so bad on iRacing. Nee dto get back into it. GT7 is a lot of fun honestly you should give it a try.
      BTW love that minimal techno track you did, sounds fire!

      @@gster109 well, I am really thinking about trying GT7, but as I play in VR, I will need to buy a lot of new equipment 😀
      glad you liked my techno track, btw I am selling my music gear to buy sim gear 😀
