We traded our herky-jerky Atlas in for a CX-9 Grand Touring. It's smaller but drives so much nicer than the Atlas. Our Atlas lived in the service department. The Mazda is built tough!

About the Key device, just keep it all the time on your pocket/purse. The pilot and copilot door's handle has a black dot that at your touch lock or unlock the doors and you will know when is locked or not because the side mirrors will move. As you seat, just push the Start button and it will turn on. My wife all the time has the key in her purse and no problem with the communication between car and key and she feels save. Thank you for share!

Using high octane gas is only needed in extreme use... like towing or hot/cold climates. The computer will adjust

The road feel is a feature not a problem. I love being connected to the road vs being isolated. We have the cx9 gr vs the signature because we wanted the pass through to the 3rd road

When you said the suspension feels stiff just remember you have 20 inch rims for a minute there.

I think you are underestimating the 20 inch alloy wheels, the 18 inch should drive better and less rough road feel

I like Jill's known sequitors. BTW is there an actual ignition lock on the column?

You forgot to add direct injection technology, improves fuel efficiency but creates engine problems due carbon build up.

Carbon buildup varies so much and most new car buyers will never own the vehicle long enough to have any issues.

@@Pickuptrucktalk, the issue still there either first owner or second would have to deal with it. Actually, new car ownership is much longer today than what it used to be. Look at car loan length today 72 months vs 60 months. People broke and keep their cars longer.

@@repairvehicle Just something to service down the road. Not a deal breaker.

@@Pickuptrucktalk, for some years for others not. People should know that some cars have problems with carbon build up and others don't. People should know the facts upfront instead of realizing later.

@@repairvehicle that's the thing - you can't predict a car will have carbon build up. People who own identical make model year vehicles can experience different things. One may never come across carbon build up while others will depending a myriad of factors. Impossible to predict.

Android auto, apple car play, heated seats, blind spot monitoring, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, lane keep assist, and rear cross traffic alert being standard are not incentives for me to buy. They are a deterrent because I don't want that and I sure don't want to pay for something I don't want. I am sure there isn't a way to turn a lot of that stuff off either.

You can turn a fair amount of it off actually.

Question is does the wife approve?

Yes. She loves her CX-5 and this is on our list after that lease is up.
