I know more kiters in their 40's or 50's than kiter of my age in their 20's. Sure on the professional scene, we mostly see young kitesurfers, but this is not an only for young ppl sport !
Oh bugger- I'm turning 40 next month and have wanted to try this for ages now. I want to have some great freeing hobby like this instead of just scrabbling around in life like the most people. Although the British seas are quite bracing we have wonderful beaches and good westerly winds. I'm sure it'll be great to build up the skills to then go to warmer climates occasionally.

I started flying trainers, and doing some basic landboarding about 10 years ago, but I didn't get my proper kit to get on the water until earlier this year. I'm 38. Take the plunge, and don't look back.
