Another common mistake is during the water relaunch- LET OUT THE BAR before grabbing the steering line! Great video to reduce accidents on the beach!

akrim777 i see hundreds of kiter's coming to our beach and a lot of them to these exact mistakes after a few years practicing. A lot of people kite only a few days or weeks per year !

When launching and landing, keep your hands att the center of the bar. If something goes wrong i.e. the chicken loop is disconnected, then you wont get a super fast loop.

Great video - I've never tried kiteboarding, but have witnessed a few face plants in the sand... probably made all the mistakes you talked about here! Just added kiteboarding to my "bucket list" :) And I sent you an email about your gf and her rehab.

Let me add two things: Launch and land with one hand on the bar, and one on the Quick Release! If something happens, you can immediately release! Saved me few times too!

I had this one in but it covers basics kite control which should be taught by the instructors and I didn't want to get into the basics but too many people don't do this one.
I will certainly include this one in the next video ! So many more mistakes to cover :)

Pull the bar when grabbing your board on the ground. I didn’t do it once, my kite felt a bit, a gust came, the kite looped.
My ankle got broken from this incident :/

Joel flips depends your weight and wind strength u will be using the kite with.
remember to always start in à kiteschool and not on your own ever.

And do NOT attach the kite leach on the back of the harness...very dangerous as it can prevent you from releasing it. Attach in front or on the side of the harness

hey, can anybody tell me why it is not recommended to buy a kite older than 2012? Surely is a beginners question, that´s why i aks it ;) thanks and thank you for the awesome video :) was a lot of fun!
they just got better each year so the older they are the worse they fly. However there are some great kites around from 2010 onwards. As a beginner opt for a delta shaped kite for easy use
the reason is, that everytime you fly a kite its like with your socks: the meterial gets worn out, becomes thiner and lets through some wind. Kites that are that old just dont fly that good. but it depends on how it was treated by its owner.

Tu peux rajouter à 2min45 que l'aile au zenith pour ramasser sa board n'est pas une position safe. Ca va bien dans des vents bien regulier sans perturbation, mais des que tu as des vents rafaleux c'est la meilleure position pour se faire soulever... et la 9x sur 10 un debutant va paniquer , tirer sur la barre et ce retrouver en mauvaise posture...
A ce moment là je dis qu'ils est aussi bien de mettre la voile en board de fenêtre pour genre de mouvement.
For the next set, mention kicking out of the board rather than trying to drag it...
