I had this happen to me in California when I was 17 looking for affordable car insurance. I went in to an insurance office in a strip mall and it looked completely legitimate. They made up a fake car insurance contract and everything. They said it was through “Bristol West insurance.” They even had a phone service for it or someone in their office pretending to be an insurance agent. A couple of months down the road, the place was GONE but the signage was still up. I got my down payment and monthly dues back after 2 years. They got arrested and sued. Lesson learned the hard way…
I kinda lost interest in Family Guy somewhere before the 10th season. It seemed to go to shit a lot quicker than The Simpsons or South Park. Shame cos it had good potential.

honestly the entire volcano insurance plotline should be used to teach comedic writing because it is absolutely flawless it is the definition of "every other line is a joke" and it makes me laugh everytime, among many other fantastic comedic elements with perfect timing, execution, visual gags, and flawless set-up/pay-off. this is master writing.
