@@wojciechwierzbianski2707 altho that fill was technically proficient drumming wise, it didnt fit the feel of the song so im glad he dropped it later on
+Mexiun Trivio ahah I know he's awesome he's my favorite drummer too ;) but I'm sure he's very underrated... :( Ahah I started listening to system at 13 too :D
+Inderjit Singh I admire The Rev (avenged sevenfold is one of my favorite bands) but no, Mike portnoy was the rev's inspiration, more experience, technique, musicality and creativity..he's better than the rev..but I can't compare the rev and john dolmayan.
The groove he's playing there is in 5/8 time which gives a kind of uneven characteristic, and on top of that most of the bass drum hits are placed on 16th note offbeats adding some extra funk to it.
Hmm I still like Andy's groove drums rather then John's. That's just comparing that show from dragonfly in 96 I don't know if Andy could jam well with anything other then the self titled album
hes a great drummer. hes just no jordison. check out joey jordison sound check. not trying to hate on john at all im just a huge fan of precision drumming. its an art.
I admit it: John Dolmayan is one of my favourite musicians of all time.
After I've heard his fill in the middle part of Sugar (live performance) I was in big shock. Really admire his styile.

This Drummer is just sick...sadly he's underrated...

+Emmanuel Malibert He isn't that underrated. He is very well known for his skills and capability.
multiestonian yeah but people prefer talking about Neil Peart, Joey Jordison, Mike Portnoy and George Kollias ;)
Inderjit Singh they are two very different drummers, believe me...

john is a badass drummer
I love how John starts jamming when he sees he's being recorded
Not only is he skillful but He makes drumming look so simple. So talented not to fancy just right.
Yeah he also fancies the right so that makes sense

And how powerful he hits the kit
he doesnt even show off and hes amazing
Lo mejor del mundo es éste tipo!!!!!

Tnank you!
I have been to this place.. republic square in Yerevan
just that casual sound check is amazing yo! the part at 0:57.. like how does he do it? its so off-beat-ly on beat. know what i mean?

He’s got some of his own odd time grooves ! So sick !
He is classy with little to no B.S attitude and he is a good drummer even great.
badass!
John Nice 🇫🇷😘🤞

I think he's still a robot

Joey relies on speed, John relies on control. Joey's good but he's definitely no Ian Paice.
Why even compare the two? Two totally different types of drummers. Kind of silly if you ask me.
Hellwyck Ian Paice is good but he’s no Mario Duplantier
