He is 13 years old and he knows all stops, he knows the whole song, this is amazing and this is hard too. But you are right, the drumming part is amazing too

The actor in the movie also did really play it, he himself was a drummer and he was the one in every drumming scene, no one ever filled in for him. But I’m also not trying to take away from these kids, really talented individuals and really shows that dedication will get you to do great things, amazing job guys

Jure Željko yeah the director didn’t even know that Miles Teller played the drums when he asked him to play Neiman. He was definitely a talented enough drummer to seem like he was doing a lot of the stuff but he didn’t actually play for a few of the tracks, the solo being one of them

The solo was improvised by a real drummer lol. It's difficult to play what someone made up on the spot because they didn't play it so it could be repeated.
Somewhere in the solo you can actually hear two or more drums being played at the same time, it's just too many noises at once... (I mean in the original film track, not this guy, this guy is good)

Great cover, im trying to learn this in drums but its super fucking hard so imma just ask you these simple questions: Who did you sacrifice What dark lord did you sell your soul to and What organ did you sell in the black market to be able to play this so perfectly
You know what so difficult about this performance (aside from all the obvious) is the snare slow down at 7:15 this seeming easy breakdown is actually the hardest part of the piece. why? because after all that heavy wizardry on the drum, to then tapper off ones muscles to dial back and yet maintain a steady descending and later ascending pace is incredibly difficult. Youl here his timing fall off at times with every other stroke because his muscles are soo amped to just go, to rein them in and tapper off speed is insane.

Honestly I couldn't help but I was so sceptical about this blood thing during the movie, I didn't buy it and it kinda ruined the movie a bit for me. I don't get why he had to make this blood thing, sweat, face expressions, state of the drum set and little injuries were enough for us to understand. Besides that the film is obviously very good.
I love the bassist loving it at the end, and I love how well this performance remained faithful to the source material, which, let's be real, is the real challenge of this particular song that people look for when they see a video claiming to play from whiplash. This is extremely good

I daresay you did a more impressive job of it then that jazz drumming movie. They had Hollywood level film equipment, angles, film talent, director, story buildup, all those things to make it the climax of the whole movie... and yet.... Watching this drum solo was far more striking. Holy shit dude.

I daresay you did a more impressive job of it then that jazz drumming movie. They had Hollywood level film equipment, angles, film talent, director, story buildup, all those things to make it the climax of the whole movie... and yet.... Watching this drum solo was far more striking. Holy shit dude.

@@FrankButera actually, I've seen many drum solos! from heavy metal professionals to jazz band intermediates, I've seen probably over 15-20, maybe more. I'm not a pro, but this one takes the cake in my knowledge of drumming. Could there be harder? Sure, but I don't know what is. My comment was simply a compliment to Logan, and didn't beg for analysis.
