Because it's been known since Roman times that two wrestlers of equal strength and skill will cancel each other out, it'd be a stalemate. That's why the UFC allows the wrestlers to use their amatuer level, bastardized pseudo-boxing. But Dana always remembers to call it a "great fight"....

I dislike Colby as a person but as a fighter he was way better than I expected, and Kamaru was not boring and willing to trade, it was a great fight.
How did he prove he was good, dude is a wrestler with cardio and Got his faced smashed in by another wrestler with cardio. If he fights a dude with decent take down defense and great stand up he's going to get lit up worse, dude has pillow hands and lays on top when he takes people down,doesn't even have any ground and pound when he takes people down, There's a reason He needed this gimmick because he's an average wrestler, with no stand up.

Gregory Michaels no he didn’t. He lost the first round, and the third round. But, he dominated the second round and it was the best round of the fight. By the way, it’s the judges, not the ref.
Ally Yana It was a close fight. I thought aldo won but had a weird feeling the judges would say marlon won. The commentary was making it seem like aldo was leagues ahead. I think he still should’ve won the third.

Agreed, i personally had Usman up 3-1 going into the 5th but could see a *possible* arguement for *maybe* 2-2 going into the 5th round... that judge who had Colby 3-1 up going into the 5th should never judge a fight again as it makes no sense based on what happened. I feel that some judges get swayed by chants and crowd reactions as opposed to what's actually happening in the cage.
@Literally Shaking Covington won the 1st by everyones account, Usman won the 2nd and 3rd by everyones account... and the 4th was closely contested hence why i could see how it may be given to Usman or Colby but i certainly wouldn't say it was easily 2-2 or easily 3-1 Usman going into the 5th, ya know man? That 4th round was very close but i think Usman just outstruck Colby and landed the cleaner strikes, but Covington had some good moments in that round too. It was such a close fight and ridiculously entertaining and *REALLY* hope we are blessed with a rematch at some point soon as I'd love to see that again 🙂🤞

I didn't think much of Usman before this fight , fight with Woodley was trash. But than this makes u realize its Woodley who made the fight suck his style after he won title is nothing like before he won it. Would love to see usman masvidal that fight would be even better than this one was and this one was great.
I wish Colby would of started with the pressure he had the second round and the 1st round of the lawyer fight. He backed up up more than all his other fights, but it’s understandable with usmans power.

The great numbers were based on the entire card not really the main event. Faber, Aldo, Nunez, every fight had big names. A bit underwhelming but not to bad.
