- UFC president Dana White expresses his thoughts on UFC 245’s main event bout that saw Kamaru Usman retain his welterweight title vs. Colby Covington. White adds that he has no problem with Covington and would like to see him take on Tyron Woodley next. (3:31) White stresses that he has nothing but respect for Max Holloway following his loss to Alexander Volkanovski and sets his sights on a rematch for Australia. (8:57) White says that Henry Cejudo gave him a call tonight to tell him that Jose Aldo should of won his fight vs. Marlon Moraes, and would like to fight him next.

Had the fight 2-2 going into the 5 round. Phenomenal way to end the fight by Usman. Reminded me of Stylebender vs Kelvin. The champion rises to the occasion. Props to Usman.

That power is just undeniable, Colby looked fantastic during the first two rounds though. Couldn't help but cringe when Kamaru complained about that nut shot then they show the replay and it was clearly above the groin though, of course Colby did the same with the "eye poke" thing so both fighters had weird moments
Completely agree on your scoring though, I had Colby winning the first two then it was all Kamaru (although 5th round was super close), Colby could throw more shots at a higher pace but Kamaru could do the same amount of damage with one shot that Colby could do with 3-4. In the end patience, timing, and power won that fight for Kamaru.

I was at a bar and during the 2nd round of the main event all the TV's shut down because of a storm(fkg Canadian weather) so 5 poeple streamed the fight on their phones and there was like 5 groups of 15 poeple around 4inches screen screaming like crazies during the fight while also insulting the bar Owner and the waitresses. At first I was pisssed but when I realised how absurd the situation was, I think it was one of the best nights of my life

I thought Aldo had it as well. Moraes was backing up, throwing one or two punches and avoiding the fight.....hoping he wouldn't gas out. Aldo chased, threw combos and was aggressive.

I honestly thought Colby took rounds 1 and 4, and Usman took rounds 2 and 3 going into the fifth round. But it was clear that Usman was a lot fresher than Colby who emptied himself in round 4.
ya judges had it 3-1 usman , 3-1 Colby , and 2-2 … The 5th Colby started off strong but his broken chin finally gave out I think. That fight was epic. If they had a 7 fight series, it would go to game 7 these two. They will fight again.

100% exactly how I read his face and the situation (especially I had Aldo winning), he had winner's remorse and didn't even sound convinced of his own words--and I'm not even talking about in the ring, but in one of those few minute one-one-one with the fighters, he seemed to stumble what to say because in his heart he knew Aldo won the fight.
Usman should be thanking Colby for literally promoting the entire card himself

It was 2-2 going into the 5th round. It was a great fight, but slightly tainted for me because Marty faked a nut shot, also landed several illegal shots to the back of the head. The ref should not be allowed in main events for awhile.
Colby eye poked Usman and Colby faked an eye poked when he got punched in the jaw. So yeah they both tainted the fight equally.

Kamaru hadn't lost a single round in his career leading up the this fight and you could easily argue Colby won 2. He's an asshole but deserves credit for what he's done, no one denies Kamaru's achievements.

Because it was a rough night for holloway who thought the leg kicks werent racking up. Volkanovski did what he needed but nobodys convinced that he sat max down , volk wanted to win and he fought a points fight because of great coaching. No other featherweight contender gets a shot at volk before max because of what max has already done for that division.

Great card overall and amazing performances from all. But come on the greatest grudge match ever in UFC history is still Conor and Khabib and then Conor and Nate thereafter and not to mention Diego Sanchez and Clay Guida. This one between Usman and Covington makes the top ten for sure but its funny how quickly people forget. When you take a moment and look back at all the grudge matches in UFC history you'll see what I'm talking about.
Conor vs Khabib wasn't a fight, it was a rape. Conor and Nate was a great matchup both times, way more similar to Colby Usman.

He never look tired and he didn’t slow down. Normally if you have good cardio you don’t slow down but you are a little out of breath.
