    The ring and the box was printed using fillamentum.com Timberfill. Timberfill is a composite filament filled with natural fibers isolated from spruce. The material exhibits similar mechanical features as PLA. I recommend using a 0.6mm or larger nozzle when printing with wood filaments since the fibers can easier clog smaller nozzles.

    That look pretty good ! Do you use sandpaper on bottom because otherwise it would not open ?

    • @agepbiz
      @agepbiz  5 місяців тому

      Thanks! I used sandpaper to get a smoother surface on the wood filament ptint. The box design is a print in place design and is able to be opened and closed straight from the printbed

    • @drlegend92
      @drlegend92 5 місяців тому

      @@agepbiz I tried the XYZ Cubes which can be opened but there is like the first 1-2 mm without any "cuts" so it breaks...

    • @agepbiz
      @agepbiz  5 місяців тому +1

      @@drlegend92 That means your nozzle is to close to the bed and you get a squeezed first layer. Raise the nozzle a bit, but you could also try "elephant foot compensation" in your slicer

    Its frustrating to see how clean this guys prints come out 😭😅 my ender 3 has this weird layer shift issue that happens where it will shift one direction sometimes shift back the other way, etc. I've tried everything, fixing the belt, changing temperatures, cleaning the print nozzle, everything yet I still have the same issue 😅😭

    • @agepbiz
      @agepbiz  3 місяці тому

      Wood filament is far from pure wood but is plastic infused with wood fibers. Wet sanding seemed to help a lot

    Wow that's cheap as fuck

    • @MsFitz134
      @MsFitz134 2 роки тому +15

      Some women (like myself) appreciate thought and effort more than money. This isn't cheap, it's understanding his partner. After 20 years, he knows that something unique and custom designed is going to be more appreciated than a big expensive diamond.

    • @EliasFakenami
      @EliasFakenami 2 роки тому +2

      @@MsFitz134 Yeah. He spent maybe 10 hours on that. It's not this amazing gift you claim it to be. He made it last minute, probably day or two before, because he forgot. That's just insulting.

    • @MsFitz134
      @MsFitz134 2 роки тому +5

      @@EliasFakenami I don't think it is insulting or cheap at all. Apparently his wife didn't either. I would cherish a handmade ring far more than a store bought one, regardless of the time spent or cost of supplies. Hell my husband could tie a piece of grass on my finger and that would mean more to me than a big diamond ring. It's a good thing I married him and not you.
      After twenty years and two children together, any amount of time and money invested into a symbol of their commitment would be a cheap token in comparison to what they've already invested in each other.
      Rather than be so upset that a man gave his wife a gift that you don't understand, may I suggest you invest your time and energy into something that might actually benefit society? There's an awful lot of problems in this world, and a man giving his wife a ring isn't one of them.
