- something like that, with much beer and wine in my blood
ps- i discovered the song through adam's video that's why I'm posting it as a response, if you want to learn the vibrato, I strongly recommend downloading the "Tone Clinic" from Adam Gussow's website that's where i learned it.
And in the background, his friend has a massive existential crisis
you killed me bro xD
You tend to get that when you listen to this song lmao
LOL
Its the blues
How not to?
SEE YOU SPACE COWBOY...
12 years later and this is still gold
14 wow
@@Mr.Brownstone 15 now
@@fxgamer6814 I don't know why I wrote 14 haha, it was too late, it will be 15, and it will be more years listening to this..
@@Mr.Brownstone hell yeah man
MANS CARRYING ALL THAT WEIGHT
sweet, the closest cover I've heard to weeping harp himsellf, I mean the guy who recorded this in japan has so much passion and a unique sound, and I really think that you captured and emulated his style very very well, anyways very impressive, you should look into trying other covers like diggin my potato, the seatbelts is the name of the collective group that plays the music mostly written and composed by yoko kanno, my favorite composer alive today, and a bit beyond.
Very sweet indeed
@arlib thanks
There is no tab for this, and I learned it by ear. But not at once: I just listened to it a lot and later realized I could play it. I only worked in details on the first 20 secs... If you get used to how the harp works, you can eventually figure out pretty easily what he plays throughout, after listening for a while.
14 years later... still a masterpiece.
I could tell by the hat you'd nail this lol
BANG...
hope you are still playing man. This is the best and most accurate cover i can find on youtube!
There was so much SOUL in this. I felt it through my monitor which made me in a none stop smile. Excellent rendition.
the harp key you're looking for is D. i've played around with the song. d hits all the right spots on this lick.
You, sir, win my recommendations for today. Kudos from 2020.
It is a D harp. I didn't take long to figure out how it is done, but it takes a long time to work on tone and vibrato. I've been working on the the harp for a year and a half, didn't work a lot on this specific song, but on other things which improved the way I play it.
Dude, you deserve a beer, that was awsome! More greetings from Brazil. o/
14 years later and this is still SO F*CKING GOOD
the euphoria is strong with this one...
"studio quality sound"... I added reverb in garage band. It's doable, although you might need some middle school education to figure it out. It's not for everybody.
This is quite possibly my favorite UA-cam comment
Real blues. Having a beer, den in the night. Friends just having fun. THAT'S the REAL folk blues!
im playing the harmonica since 6 months atleast, and i can say, this dude is great, i wish i could touch this shit with all those bendings! my god! well, i have no rush, one day *-*
Sebastian Cuevas what happened in this 2 years? did u learn how to bend?
see it for yourself, a harmonica is pretty affordable. It only takes a lot of learning like with everything else
How is it going?
Little spotty at the end, but you've mastered a lot of parts that I find to be very tricky, like the vibrato, the deep bend, the tongue-blocks and the tricky multi-intervals in some of the more 'fun' parts.
wow that was so spot on. for a second i thought you just dubbed the original track
so good!
Just wondering how you recorded this. its so clear, like i'm sitting in the room with you.
If you could play this on harp 15 years ago you were officially the coolest cat around.
@Bukakkii Trust me, by the time you're capable of playing Spokey Dokey on harmonica, you're capable of doing it without tabs. It's a very very complex song.
"You've incurred the wrath of Spokey Dokey!!!"
I feel like bounty hunting
Right in da feels dude, awesome job
That guy just realized he must now carry the weight...see you space cowboy.
I fucking love this song, thanks to Yoko Konno, adam and you for playing this
I'm an old timer now. Thanks for making me feel nostalgic.
holy shit.
man, you are so damn talented, i've only just started to bend notes (YESSSSSSSSSS :D :D) and i'm starting to learn this song, it's like my goal. could you perhaps give me some tips on the verbrato? vebrato...? however you spell it :D thanks man and keep playing you're awesome
also cool hat lol
Is there any chance you have tabs for this? this is by far the best cover I've ever seen.
Absolutely amazing.
As awesome/ beautiful/ accurate as it gets....best cover available..
Who dislikes this!!
If only I could play like this ever in my life..... :(
damn!! you've just nailed it!! congrats from br buddy
God damn, still gold. Who is this cowboy?
@Sautron that's a Suzuki Harpmaster. They're the best deal.
butterf1yz thank you man
Dude, great.
After watching this i want to learn playing harmonica...
Dude… absolutely spot on. I’m in the process of learning this myself. I hope to have it down in another 3 months.
Absolutely beautiful, bro. I loved it! See you later, Space Cowboy.
15 years daym 🔥
that's the type of quality i want
been teaching myself harp past 2 months purely for this song and yea this is my favorite cover i heard on youtube. Unfortunately got a C Harp but im using that to practice my skills til i can get a D Harp to play this one properly.
Im learning a lot with your version, its much cleaner and techinicaly easier to play but has the same vibe, 1:14 this part is so good 😭😭😭
Woooowwwwww, that was the most impressive thing I've ever seen. I'm incredibly jealous of your talent. I've been trying to nail this cover for ages.
jesus christ dude, that's frickun sweet.
Im just a begginer playing the Harmonica, I wish I was this good. Ryuichiro Senoo played this song with alot energy fully with emotions.
You gotta have a hat on to play this song, man.
If you could somehow be smoking a cigarette too, that'd be Ideal, but y'know...it's still pretty good.
See you, space cowboy.
So, if you need somebody for the soundtrack of the live action movie, now that Senoh's gone...
素晴らしい😊
That's reassuring. I use tongue block as well, and I've been worried that it will give me trouble with bending, but from your playing, I can tell that it won't be an issue if I practice more.
Moved me to tears
definitely not an issue at all. All the original tongue block masters had magnificent bends, in fact, if you can't do it well tongue blocking, it means you're not doing it right lip pursing either yet :) but it's very doable. I had a friend who could overblow while tongue blocking. Ricci and Dennis Gruenling can do it, and that's much harder. I can't.
Daaaamn, just no words
Thank you, yes it's in A, but it's played in second position on a D harmonica.
Quando eu tô sem sono eu venho assistir esse maravilhoso vídeo
Bravo mec sa fait plaisir d entendre sa
How is it so close?! Crazy! You're a talent!
Jesus tapdancing christ. You murdered it.
Sounded great
Chills man, chills

Now if you can do Diggin' My Potato id love ya even more brotha. Great skills! Keep the blues alive!

Shiet, bro got me cowboying in space 🗣🥵

Simply outstanding dude !!! :D
@butterf1yz

Hey Man thanks to your clip, I got out my D harp out and folowed your advise and went to Adam's link tryin to learn this myself.
Wow this was back in 09 its 2020 how time flies
Outstanding
Probably the best cover on youtube, what key is the harmonica? and how long did it took you to learn the song?

Spectacular technique and feel! What can I say? I only hope that I'll be able to play like that someday.
