    Great review as usual. This was a realistically detailed scale heli for an RTF model. I hear you on the flybars. Their a kind of poor man's gyro for the rotors. But as you said if you get out of the flybar's comfort-zone it's difficult to get it to settle down. You did a GREAT job keeping it in the air when it went wonky on you. Thanks for the review, I know you work hard on these.

    That is a nice looking helicopter,it really has a scale look in the air and it does seem to respond better to scale flying,it doesn't dart about like lighter models,they can have an unrealistic dragonfly like motion to them.👍👌☺

    Hey Ryan, my friend!
    Again a nice and well done Model review/flight - hats off!
    Yesterday i received my V915 ( Yellow )
    Today i`ve done the maiden test flight outside in sunny weather with wind conditions bft 2-3.
    First impressions: Awesome stable and good reacting birdy !!! Love it...and very scale built and flight looking!
    Chineese engineering well done - if this Lama has brushless, that will be TOP !
    Always happy flights and much subscribes to you!
    Frank

      +Frank Mende Yeah, if this was brushless and had a flybarless system, it would be great. :)

    Great Video! The 45 degree flybars systems really tame a helis' performance. They really don't like any wind, or fast maneuvers. I love your "Durability Test" comment! I'll have to remember that one.

      @theimacman  7 років тому

      Yeah, just gotta keep it calm and steady with the flybars. And, lol, thanks about the "durability test" comment. :)~

    Great review Ryan, the flybarless 4 channels do better in the wind, but that is a decent flyer. I like the WLToys V977, because it handles wind better yet.

    Ryann , I bought this heli also, and the directions stink, anyways the shoulder button on the right is a turbo button , kind of a d/r switch that you have to hold, so what I did was run on out to radio shack and picked up a switch and installed it just below the button and left of were it says (6 channel), just solder 2wires to switch and direct to the button solder points, works great , when you throw the switch you get all the throw out of it with out holding the button, and the button will still works

    • @theimacman
      @theimacman  9 років тому +3

      Jordan O'C To keep price down. :/ I wish these brands were more consistent with their protocols, so they could then sell an optional nice transmitter that could be used with several of their models that may come with inferior transmitters.

    • @Xenro66
      @Xenro66 9 років тому +1

      Flyin' Ryan RC Ah yeah, price... Hmm, consistent protocols should be mandatory, or like you said, sell a good transmitter. I hate these crappy transmitters!

  • @heliparkflyer12
    @heliparkflyer12 9 років тому

    The right shoulder button gives you even more throw in high rates, but you have to keep the button held down. Some people mod the tx with a 2 position toggle switch in place of the button so they can have full servo throw all the time without having to hold the button down. Other than that good review.
    This heli would be excellent as a 6 axis flybarless heli.

    i have had a v911 in 38+ kph winds takes alot of pratice and in higher winds you need to run the higer rates full time , this heli is cool and it can handel some winds from what i have seen but i have not yet put one threw its paces

      ***** I wouldn't call this toy-grade... and besides, it's pretty pointless to get wrapped up in the whole toy-grade/hobby-grade designation. Just enjoy RCs. :) Since these sort of RCs have replacement parts, I don't consider them toy-grade. Toy-grade is purely for toys sold in stores, like Walmart, that have absolutely no part support, and aren't designed to be repaired.

    Yes I agree with you as far as killing you or someone else. We had a young boy practically decapitate his head off. He was killed instantly because he didn't know what he was doing. I am not going to do stunts right away but more or less practice using a little one. but I already purchased it for myself so it's going to sit on my shelf for a while or like you say be a shelf queen for a lil bit until I get the controls figured out. I still have to buy a 11.1 lipo battery for it.
    I originally wanted the goblin 380, devil 380 which is a good knock off of the goblin by align. Then I wanted to get a Align T-rex 450 which is a monster with a powerful dominator 1800 kv brushless motor. Ryan this guy is a beast,
    just watch the videos. If I bought thay I would of been way over my head. but 2 things I would of taken it to a place where there are no people anywhere for a long way I am not trying to hurt anyone. If anyone gets hurt it would be me. Thats why I went with the walkera 450. It's cheap. If I crash parts are cheap and relatively inexpensive to fix.
    it's been voted first in it's class ad for being good for beginners making the transition to flybarless collective pitch. Has auto gyro stabilization.6 axis gyro meaning it can auto correct itself. Now for 3d or stunts you hit mode to it deactivates the auto correct and goes straight to 3d at that point you better know what your doing or else you'll crash or hurt someone. so I'll stick to auto gyro. I forgot the term Ryan. but it's some kind of beginners flight assist which helps alot.
    it's also getting alot of good reviews too as far as beginners
    so I'm not going to lie I am pretty excited.

      +Lasse Nielsen I have no experience with the V912, but I would bet that they are very similar... may even use the same internal parts. But, being that the V915 is a scale model, it is probably heavier than the V912. So the V912 probably flies a bit better.

    Very nice, it is the v-913 with a new body! The top right bumper should be turbo. Put it in a table and give full pitch in high or low rates and then press the button and hold and it should increase the pitch quite a bit in low and high rates. It really wakes the heli up flying in turn on high rates! :) anyways it sure does looks awesome.

    Ryan wassup old buddy long time no see. Its me Paulie from the Bronx lol. I have to ask you a question? I am no longer getting coaxial helicopter I have graduated to a collective pitch flybarless helicopter called the walkera 450 DO3 it's really nice and priced cheap and does 3d stunts on high mode. Can you do stunts I wanted the goblin 380 but that was too expensive. Any advice you can give me I am a helicopter simulation and I doing pretty good

    • @theimacman
      @theimacman  8 років тому

      +Paul Santora I don't do 3D flying, and I would highly recommend practicing on something much smaller and safer before attempting to fly, or do 3D, with a 450 sized CP heli. That is a very serious helicopter, and it could actually *KILL* you if you are not careful. You want to be an expert 3D pilot before even attempting 3D with a 450.

    • @theimacman
      @theimacman  9 років тому

      Lee Cross Hmm, hard to say, since the V913 still has a flybar... I think the brushless motor would give it more punch/power, but the flybar will likely keep it from getting too aggressive and agile. :/
