- A rescued Margay at the Jaguar rescue Center. All their animals were being slowly reintroduced to the wild. I believe the guide says they are one of two species of cats with prehensile tails. And my little brother says their paws can rotate 180 degrees for climbing down trees. He was actually pretty friendly!

They are also one of two cat species (Clouded leopard being the other) that can climb down a tree head first and they can hang from branches by just one paw. Also, they have been observed using mimicries to try to lure WIld Pied Tamarins, which has never been observed in a felidae.

Yeah, it's true about them climbing down trees headfirst. It's because they can turn their paws i80 degrees and still climb without hurting their wrists. I didn't know about the mimicking though, that's really interesting. Smart cats!
Are Margays friendly
Don't worry it was a rescue center that focused on releasing the animals back into the wild.
I have on of these cats his name is killer!😎 but he is not actual a killer he is super nice I love him so much I feed him fish rats and some kinds of meat

and no i will not share any of the breeder information. this is not a house pet. if you own a margay it needs to be your only cat and have a custom enclosure and many expensive things.

These cats are beautiful and I want one!!! Cats are so smart and agile yet fiercely protective and loyal. They are their own boss and hands down they are more intelligent than dogs. I also like the Sand Cat, Serval and Ocelot, as well as the Maine Coon, the Abysinian, Ameriucxan Snowshoe, Burmese and the Norwegian Forest Cat
