Thank you for providing boom mics in iems. This should be the way forward.
I've seen 3 different reviews of this product so far and every single one has the mic sounding drastically different. I really want to know why it varies so much
@@0py6f Analog mics (3.5mm unbalanced cables) are very sensitive to what they are plugged into. All mics are different for different voices as well, combine the two and it's a recipe for inconsistency. Also different videos will do different pre and post production, though they often say what they are doing.
What would be the best way to connect the Kimura Duo to a PC to ensure maximum audio quality?
@@Clancy1994 Direct to PC is best. When you use a 3.5mm direct in you may get a hiss sound (EMI) or a humming sound (ground loop) on the mic or even the IEMs. This is true for any 3.5mm product; if you do, a simple USB sound card (the cheap 10-15 dollar ones) should help clear it all up. I don't have any suggestions for more expensive dac/amps for these, though we do recommend the Fulla and Hella from Schiit for the ModMic Uni, so I guess start there if you really want to "go big." I use the Hella on my personal rig.
I think the mic might sound better with a different usb DAC. Was this straight into front panel or mobo mic input? Thanks
I have the Sennheiser IE300 and was wondering if the MMCX mic works on that item because it has a slightly different fitting at the connection where it plugs in to the iem. Thanks for the help
Wonder how the mic would sound with a windscreen sponge... Would probably help with any likely issues with popping sounds but I wonder it would effect the overal sound 🤔🤔
You should try the Kinera Gramr microphone cable to see how it compares
Gramr microphone sounds better, I compared them. But the handling of the Gramr (microphone) is a bit worse due to the design and where the microphone arm is placed.
the mic needs to come off of the top part of the ear hook though. like the Kinera Gramr. your mic gets jimmied all over the place with that one.

Wow! This is amazing! I'm definitely buying this product, ide probably just buy the whole thing outright. Unless I do some research and find out what the best IEMS are. I've done more research on headphones rather than IEMS so I have no idea what some of the best value IEMS are. I do love how cheap they generally are for good sound quality.
Finding the best iem for you is going to be one of those things where you'll definitely need to try some out because its different for everyone.
oddly my kimura mic sounds nothing like yours. mine actually sounds incredible. basically sounds like i have an AT2020 in front of me.
What are you plugged into? Mobo 3.5mm jack, or into a sound card or USB DAC?
@@arkarius5748 it’s plugged into the crappy 3.5 mic-in of the goxlr. but there’s zero processing being done. it’s my travel mic.

Yea I love cafe racer's, rode a '05 triumph thruxton for years. I also prefer smaller bikes after having had a Ducati Monster 1199, no one ever needs that much power haha.

If you don't bother to read the name of the product, why would you even bother testing it if you just need to spit out a video anyways?
