Visitor come to my room and see all the trash I made.
Stay a while, I'm on the verge of laying it down.
A vagabond, and all his trash in search to find his crown.
Your mind is like a candle stick, my ambitions are constantly burning out.
I'd hate to, rain on your parade,
But everything you know is taken by this flood,
You were blind but there's no hope.
Dig a hole but there's no blood,
Who am I to pretend, who am I to recommend there is something less.
Than timelines and whores that drag you back to the floor, and cut your eyes out.
Find me, oh Saint, I'm bending, breaking, at my knees, praying.
I've exposed, this earth has taken pride in seeing my, most vulnerable state.
I find no humor in letting yourself stray away, from those pictures.
When they cause you to see shame in yourself, you can run from your problems.
But they'll follow you like a trend,
One shot to forgetting, six shots to falling in the end.
I was the king, of kings, I stand for one rule, and one rule for myself, as a man.
I will fall and as my son you've watched it all.
Behind every mask, lies a man, who can't live in his own skin.
He lives by the flask, he bathes in his past, and he dies by his own sins.

@@thegraintrain5255 On a very different scale, I think so. But by the end they were almost a completely new band, their style wasn't as sporadic and melodic, and their songs/lyrics were primarily based on the feud they had with Issues/past members - it almost became very petty and childish.
To me, they went from a 10/10 to maybe a 3 or a 4. But if I look at WIM towards the end as a completely different band, I'd say they were still "good", sure. I still bought the album (Genesis) and still play some of their songs today. So they weren't all bad. Just I see this (Delinquents and the "Number[s]" album) as their prime for sure.

Years later I can still say that this is pretty solid. I really enjoyed this record back then, and now I can look back and see how Woe Is Me were kinda unique. They were catchy and had the basic elements of post hardcore from that era but they put their own sparkles and created a sound different.
    Well, this record rocks.

Honestly guys, this song is probably the best this genre has ever heard. It is a timeless song that carries energy, emotion, and especially at the time it was something nobody had ever heard before. Tyler Carter is EASILY the best singer in the genre (yes Jonny Craig is good, but cmon now, listen to Tyler) and the technical work is flawless. It gets my vote as one of the best ever; great job by the original Woe Is Me, and rock on, Issues.

Joan Tr iAmTheTrueWarrior Apparently he watches the band playing in his microscope. But since he's old, he should be like : "OMG why are these young guys so noisy ?".
No seriously, I wonder what it's REALLY about. But it really seems that the band is playing in the microscope. Maybe the man understands the message of the song and tries to do something about it.

Issues is more Rapcore. Again I like the old Woe Is Me, and I like Issues to. I agree Outline in Color is a really good band. The lead clean vocalist even sings better than Tyler Carter in my opion.

    • @MattWeismiller1994
      @MattWeismiller1994 10 років тому +5

Rapcore is mainly rap music with elements of metal music: distorted guitar, unclean vocals,"raping" vocals and synthesizer beats/rhythms. Issues is more towards metalcore with some R&B...I don't see how Issues can be called Rapcore -- since Rapcore is more heavily upon Rap...why else would it be called RAPcore?

There will never be a band like Woe, Is Me for a long time. The reason I loved them so much was because their lyrics really approached the concept of following your dreams, not caring about your enemies who are out to get you & bring you down, & to overall never give up. They also had a unique pop/soul feel to the metal which REALLY stood out. Plus, Tyler Carter. Not gonna lie he made this band stand out a lot too..
