You should do a video on the beef between alpha wolf and dealer but mostly around the originally vocalist of Dealer, Aiden Holmes
can you cover tillian pearson from dance gavin dance im sure you could get alot from dance gavin dance alone.
Just came back to look how the channel looks now and dam. Didn't expect 24.000 subs. Cungrats
@@winzigerflashendeckel6894 thanks dude :)
@@FXKNate i really didn't expect it to blow up so fast. What happend?
It’s such a shame that the rest of the members didn’t keep the band going. Their instrumentals are pure gold. You rarely get to hear this side of technical djent metalcore anymore. AJ’s guitars spoke works and Skyler is so groovy.
Skyler’s touring with Twenty One Pilots and Josh is touring with Bilmuri and Kane Brown
@@davidnissim589 I’m aware. I just wanted more Issues… Lol
What about Lophiie?
how do you keep the band going though? how do you replace Tyler? like dude said, they found bigger and better ventures. all good things come to an end sadly ~ all’s well that ends well
@@syahminorizan8064 he’s a producer
This one hurt. I was super into Issues. Their music helped me thru some of the hardest times but knowing what Tyler is accused of, it’s hard to find joy in that same music. I’ve met the band twice and each of them were super nice.
Sky is one of the nicest people I've ever met in the music industry.
Try your best not to let one shitty member ruin the entire band of hard working incredibly talented people who were just as important to the band if not more than Tyler.
I still love their music it still gets me through hard times. I even just got Issues tatted in the Headspace font. Tyler’s actions are horrible, yeah, but that doesn’t affect how the music made me feel then or how it makes me feel now.
I really appreciate how respectful you are in these videos. The way you talk about the victims and treat their stories with respect and especially here how you kept their anonymity is commendable. Great work
I totally agree. Definitely a lot of respect and restraint shown here.
Well I like your hair...

I designed the layout for Beautiful Oblivion while I worked at Rise Records. Such a good record.
Issues Self-titled album was top-notch and took the storm in 2014 especially during Warped Tour 2014, I was able to even get my brother into them due to their "easy" listening due to Tyler Carter's R&B vocals. It's wild that after that album their music started to dwindle bit by bit and with the allegations that came out I'm not even surprised one bit.
Killer vid as always! If anyone wants a more in-depth history of Woe, Is Me/Issues, The Cozy Representative has a very well done series about them that even Josh Manuel, their drummer, has watched and confirmed pretty much every fact himself. Josh himself has also gone into a lot of detail about the history and his own perspective on what was going on with the two bands at that time as well. Idk if there's any VODs or clips available, but the full story is out there.
The Cozy Reps series is super good, highly recommend also!
Issues were sooo ahead of their time, the Black Diamonds EP and self titled album defined my teen years. Musically they’re all so gifted. Tyler is such a scumbag, it broke my heart for the victims. I was also so sad for the rest of the band, they deserve so much better than that.
A video on Jake McElfresh from FPS and Jack Barakat would be good I think. I love your content man 🖤
Issues were my favorite heavy band at the time of Beautiful Oblivion and when Tyler was fired, it's such a shame they haven't been active with a replacement...
I found it kinda amusing that these allegations came out right around the time Tyler opened an Onlyfans and claimed it's for music only, kind of a weird coincidence lol.
Good luck for Skyler with Twenty One Pilots and for Josh with Bilmuri!
As someone who was around the circle of the band, I just wanna say I’m glad someone is making a video about this. The dude is still making music for other artists and I doubt they’re making an effort on actually growing. It’s unfortunate that a lot of people see these terrible things and can rub em off as just someone’s accusations. Too many of the same occurrences happening is not a coincidence.
A friend of mine has been in and out of the scene for like 15 years now. I remember him talking about how shady Tyler is. How he was a predator to straight young men. He literally snuck into someone’s bed. It’s fucked that only like 5 years ago people took this shit seriously. It’s been happening forever.
wait 15 years ago? i think he's 16 at that time?
Tyler Carter is essentially the James Charles of Warped Tour. 💀
really cool channel, really cool to see these things being talked about so respectfully. there needs to be a bigger conversation about the alternative scene and the things that happened/continue to happen and go unheard. interested to see what comes next
The Pyro bit was gold.
I didnt get it, could you elaborate please?
yeah i just checked rn n it was just fat furries
This series is so good. I really like how you kept the person interviewed anonymous. I thought the punctuation communicated that there was even more details that you excluded out of respect.
I've been binge-watching this series whilst revising for a maths exam lol I love these types of videos they're always so interesting and you put so much effort into every episode!! Turning notifications on rn
Do you say "whilst" irl?
Keep up the good work with the Warped Tour series cuz it brings back nostalgic music and raising awareness about these creeps.
Just found this series today and watched every video in the series. I really appreciate the work!
Love your Content Nate! Always look forward to it.
Thanks for this video even I wasn’t caught off guard of those who testify about his behavior. Tyler is one of my biggest influence and got me sing to a band because of his style. I am really disappointed for his actions and hoping for the betterment of the victims! Anyways, mad respect for your transparent videos and commentary! I’m from the Philippines BTW!
Jonny Craig x ISSUES 🤯🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love your videos dude!!! I check everyday to see if there are any new uploads!! Keep up the good work!!
Randomly came across this channel the other day. I really enjoy the personality u bring to ur videos:)
Great videos man! Very well produced and clear to the point on the topic. I’ve watched 3 so far.
Also big shout out too Mikey from the band miss fortune poor guy was involved with the Tyler situation too. Poor guy damn 😢
Amazing content my friend! I was unaware of Tyler's situation since I've only checked on Issues once in a while(their music was enjoyable to me though), it's always sad to see such a talented musician being such a horrible human. In case anyone wants a band with a vocalist that has that "Johnny Craig/Tyler" kind of vocal, I highly recommend Valiant Hearts(and Galleons, which is VH's vocalist second band), Tom Byrne is a phenomenal singer and lyricist.
God damn you are killing it with this series!!!
Great job on the video. Can't wait til next week.
I really hope Issues make new music, the other members are so incredible and talented
I was a HUGE issues and Tyler Carter fan for the entirety of my teens
Was absolutely gutted when it all came out
I think you and I would get on very well, I noticed the veil of maya poster and the perphery one on the right. Finally dead rising mall music ? Yeah you got good taste

they also dont understand the definition of "accountability"
Amazing work as always 😊
yaaaaay new video ive been waiting all week 🥳
it made me sad that in reality, tyler was singing about himself in the case of alot of songs.
Excellent work as always!
Great video as usual loved it.
Tyler was featured on God of High School anime opening, I watched the anime simply for that.
Just 2 months later the allegations came in :/
Keep dropping the bangers 🔥
Look for your videos constantly! This is the fastest a creator has become my favorite videos to lookout for, in a long time!! Can't wait to see what else you have to bring!!
So damn happy to see this channel growing so rapidly.

Let's. Fucking. Gooooooo, Nate.
loving the consistency!
We all remember the issues era where it was clear they were gonna rule the world. They were easily going to the top. They were the band who could make metalcore (or whatever they’re classified as) mainstream! Then they dropped Michael and I think that’s the downfall from there
Also I think what we forget about is most of these “abusers” are apart of a cycle. At one point they were abused too. Does this justify their actions? Of course not! But I think band members need to step in when they see a fellow member either show the signs or see something bad before it get worse. Normalize getting people help and normalize saying something asap. Not after allegations. Don’t hush it. Address it and end the cycle!!
Hardly.
Omg yes! This is something I noticed too
The warning lights were flashing when DJ Scout left, he played a huge role in their early sound. Once Mike left, that was it for them (although I liked Beautiful Oblivion, but it wasn’t the same as the first two albums)
Tyler Carter & Issues were my absolute favorite musicians and band when I was in high school. Tyler Carter was like my hero. I loved how he was this R&B singer in a metal band. I still think that combination is one of the coolest things ever in music. He was literally my phone screensaver for at least a year in high school. I even wanted to name one of my future children Carter. That's how much this guy and his music meant to me. Him and Jonny Craig were my favorite singers not just in the scene, but in general (birds of a feather flock together, huh? crazy how that works out.) I was absolutely gutted, shocked, and angry when the allegations came out. I didn't want to believe it and a part of me still doesn't want to. However, there's a part of me inside that believed it too. Since then, it's been EXTREMELY hard to listen to any WIM, Issues, and Tyler's solo music because of the allegations. While I still listen to Jonny era Dance Gavin Dance, Emarosa, and Slaves, I think the difference is that as a straight guy, the allegations against Tyler just hit home differently. I met him once, maybe twice and never got any weird vibes or anything, but just the thought that I could've been one of the victims, just shook me to my core. It's just a real shame all around. I still follow him on instagram, and honestly I think he like lives in Japan now. It just seems like he's always there or at least hanging out with some Japanese rockstars fairly often.
Should listen to *Secrets* 1st and second albums. They were my high-school heroes, talk about a talented band
I’m so disappointed with Jonny Craig and Tyler. 😔 Do you know of any other vocalists like this?
@@furuyakeifubands like dwellings and anemoria have a pretty similar sound
i love your shit man but you pronnouncing woe, is me as "woo is me" geeked me lmaoo

Like how In depth you are , awesome vid
I had friends in bands that were friends with a band member from Woe Is Me, hung out a few times, he was really chill. Any time I asked my friends about Tyler though, they would say they didn't want to be around him, and something about him bringing underage boys on their bus. It was going on even back then.
Are you going to make a video in this series about Jack Barakat?
I’m so glad I found your channel! You are so funny and I’m fascinated by your content. It’s mind blowing how many artists from that time period and genre have displayed such problematic / deviant / criminal behaviour. It makes you wonder the power that popularity / fame / influence and access to young or vulnerable people has on the likelihood of displaying deviant sexual behaviour etc… like if these people would ever have offended if they weren’t famous, or if they’d have had any desire to offend.
Anyhoo… I’m pretty sure they’re famous worldwide (?) but a local band here Lostprophets are probably the worst example of this with their singer. The mix of being a straight up p*do and having influence over others. It absolutely rocked Wales when the truth about Ian Watkins came out. I lived very close to where he was originally incarcerated and it always gave me the creeps walking past.
As a former emo kid from back in 2010-13. Only rich kids who's parents where going through a divorce where into the scene or could even afford to be in a band..the scene died cause it was lowkey racist, non inclusive and a breeding ground for pedos.
Also this man said Woo is me lmao
I like your videos man keep doing more of these types please
You're doing great dude! You've got my sub
Man these videos had me thinking all the week, you need to talk about Oliver Sykes too. Great content bro.
Haven’t finished the video yet so I dunno if this is brought up - I vividly remember watching an interview with this guy (not sure if this was during Woe, is me or Issues time) but he said something along the lines of “the only place women should have hair is on their head”. Speaks volumes tbh.
How is that an L statement. Genuine ask.

Damn I miss Tyler carter/Issues :/ they really stood as a rock for me in my younger years. Very unfortunate truths to deal with and grow from, but big hopes for the future of issues and even woe is me. Much love to them for what they gave me growing up
Another banger! The intro had me giggling, especially the feral unhinged voice you used lmao. And of course the Carters are up to no good. Why would I expect any different?
As an adult now, working closely with kids who were my age at this time in the scene, and to see how young they truly are, Tyler should have known better.
Known Tyler for a while now. And Michael Bohn. I’ve talked to Michael about this and he really doesn’t go in depth. Tyler was his best friend and a reason he got kicked for not fitting the main stream radio songs with screaming. Never asked Tyler about it but he has claimed he’s done things he’s not proud of and trying to grow. So that I can atleast respect. He let the fame get to his head but he’s lost it all and I think it’s humbled him.
After getting kicked he also took my good friend Teddy Swims on his first solo tour and now he’s blown up and signed to Warner bros
Since I've subscribed, I've seen an uptick of 10k subscribers. Awesome work!
i have a friend who publicly dated tyler for years and the relationship started when they were underage for sure. they would publicly talk on twitter when he was underage. Michael bohn did the same thing. this was in 2014-2016
ok i’m still listening literally the fiancé in question was underage when they started talking BYE
This is uh….such a Miss Fortune
I have literally the craziest stories about Tyler from growing up around him from before and after Fame and I just never got around to talking about them but you should totally hit me up. I love your videos!
shoot me a dm on twitter @ihateFXK
Your bad childhood shouldn’t make you text 14 year old boys and the fact he put stuff about rehab and drugs to probably make people feel bad just shows that he thought he could’ve just made people forget about it within a week :( great vid as always dude keep it up 🧡
Texting a child in a non-sexual way is not paedophilia.
@@user-qu6xp3jq4cnever said that. They broke up because of the allegations about him grooming and SA started going around
Issues is one of my favorite bands and I have followed them since they debuted. I wish they would’ve continued with AJ as one of the vocalists. He’s extremely underrated for his talents. His vocals are SOOOO good. better than Michael perhaps 🤭
You slept on both LMTF & TDWP?! Man.
This series is awesome! Commenting so you get more exposure!
Huge props to this person for bringing this up 🙏🏻💕 thank you for covering it, very glad because this information absolutely needs to be known!! another amazing vid
There’s actually so many sickos in this industry that I’ve dealt with first hand lol hopefully they keep getting exposed :) people like that should not have a platform or any sort of power to take advantage of.
Skylar did an interview with the state of the scene podcast and I would highly recommend you give it a listen, because it goes into more detail on why got rid of him.
Link?
Woo is me lol
Came here for this 😂
I still remember all the talk about Numbers by Woe, Is Me in my high school. I slept on it hard but for whatever reason in my senior year economics class, 2012, I had the Black Diamonds EP by Issues pop up in my UA-cam recommended on my iPod 4th Gen and was super into it. It was dope to see another band making music in a genre that I liked from the state I lived in that wasn't Attila. Sucked to see how bad things actually were as the years pressed on. Actually auditioned for my first band out of high school with King of Amarillo, yikes.
I’ve been waiting for this one! Ty & Sky Accord are some of my favorite people and I loved Issues but Tyler Carter always gave me weird vibes. The whole thing bums me out big time
hearing lmtf just get a mention made me happy tbh
Great video man! Any chance you're gonna cover Asking Alexandria?
Bro is doing his part in denormalizing sexual misconduct in the scene🔥🔥🔥
Funny that you mention jonny craig because I cannot express to you how much it pisses me off that both him and jonny just HAD to be shitty people while having some of the most beautiful vocals.
I never listened to Tyler Carter, but Jonny Craig's voice to me has always been a voice up there next to Jeff Buckley in greatness from his start to his last DGD album. I never liked his stuff with Slaves and just hearing all the stories of him being a horrible human makes it hard for me to listen to his current stuff.
The way you said “BLACK PEOPLE” 💀😂
i remember when issues did their post kicking tyler and everyone reacted as "wait... whAT ALLEGATIONS????" cuz people were focused on the adtr at the moment
Man you are amazing keep up with the great work dude by the way do you like early metalcore like Killswitch engage
Thank you for subtly noting that Jonny was at the top of the genre in that time.
If Johnny Craig didn't have all the issues he has, he would have had an incredible career. He had an incredible voice and he could have done anything from metal to pop to RnB to EDM, all at the same time.
I feel the same way about Craig Owens as well. He could have had the most ridiculous career ever had he not made so many mistakes.
@@Spermwhales93 glad he didn’t go that route. Go see him, he still tours.
@@FRIGIDBASTARDS I'd rather not, thanks. And I'd rather not go and see Craig Owens, either.

thanks so much!
Gotta say im actually happy we have a sunnyv2 typa thing covering the things from the scene
You should do Front Porch Step..
love the series!
Dude, I was shocked by numerous callouts in 2020, like Alex from PVRIS and Dorian from Neverkept. But Tyler's broke me. I even made an Instagram post airing my frustrations about it.
Alex from PVRIS being revealed as a creep really sucks. The current PVRIS stuff is still good but I miss a full time guitarist being in the band. Wish that Brian would have remained a full time member and played guitar exclusively in Alex’s place(he does on a few songs live but that doesn’t count). Alex really affected the band with his actions
@@Endlessnameless803 well, to be fair, PVRIS was kinda becoming the Lynn Gunn show by that point, so he made that more possible.
@@InkAndPoet Very true, still. It’s sad because arguably Brian is just as good of a guitarist(he was mainly a guitarist before joining PVRIS as their bassist) so they very easily could have continued in a similar style and just gotten another bassist and Brian could have moved to guitar
My dude keep it up 🎉
You make really good videos man. Really enjoy this series. Sucks you have to make videos on this topic so much but it’s all to common and people need to be held accountable.
I was personally happy to hear Tyler getting fired from Issues because I thought it would open doors for them BUT Issues has been in limbo and they’ve made it clear they will not look for another singer…
if anything it opened some stuff for tyler carter. emerald royce is lit
I know this is a warped tour based series but would someone like William Control apply here?
Not sure how much of warped he did solo or when he was with Aiden but
Like, a lot of current emos literally don't even know about Wil's allegations, they just think it was a couple text posts when in fact, there was a whole sex cult and a tumblr detailing and showing videos of shit he did
Somebody fairly local to me got involved in the William Control stuff. It's FUCKED. Definitely deserves a video.
@@Spermwhales93 I'm a brit and lived in the small band scene so I never went near warped tour from that perspective, but when New Grave (British revival of 00's emo, basically) kicked off, I met a lot of Aiden fans, and a few of my friends did shows with Wil
And then, friends on facebook started talking about him, and posting shit, and like... In 2015-2016ish it was MASSIVE, but seems to have been forgotten? Like the allegations AFFECTED THE BRITISH PUNK SCENE.
@@HedeccaTamer know about the new grave thing very well, as two current members and one former member of Creeper are in my general circles. People don't realise how much the William Control stuff directly contributed to it falling over. He literally RUINED peoples' lives.
@@Spermwhales93 ah, so you'll be aware of how the ashestoangels community were instrumental in exposing wil, at least to the UK

Great video! Being a Periphery fan, have you thought about covering the Yvette Young and Mark Holcomb incident?
one of my favorite bands ever. and hearing that their making a comeback eventually is actually a bit disappointing to me just bc it’s practically impossible to replace Tyler’s vocals
