The Jan Shatabdi Express is a more affordable and economical version of the Shatabdi Express. The word 'Jan' refers to common people. Being an economical version of the Shatabdi Express, it provides the passenger with Air Conditioned Chair Car, Second Class Seating and Unreserved classes. Though its priority is less than that of the trains like Rajdhani Express, Shatabdi Express and Duronto Express, but its enjoys a greater priority than the Mail, Express and the Superfast Express trains of Indian Railways. The maximum permissible speed of this train is 130 km/h.
The 12081/12082 Kannur - Thiruvananthapuram Central Jan Shatabdi Express is a Jan Shatabdi Express train belonging to Trivandrum Division of Southern Railway zone of Indian Railways that runs between Thiruvananthapuram Central and Kannur in Kerala state of India. It is the fastest express train between these two cities running via Kottayam and it is the longest-running Jan Shatabdi Express of Southern Railway and third longest Jan shatabdi in India.
Initially it ran between Thiruvananthapuram and Kozhikode, but owing to public demand it was extended to Kannur in 2013.[3][1][2]
The train is one among the popular commuter trains in Kerala state along with its counterpart, the 12075/76 Calicut Jan Shatabdi Express, which runs via Alappuzha.

Correct കാര്യങ്ങളാണ് അഭി പറഞ്ഞത്. അതിൽ ഒരു തെറ്റും ഇല്ല.എല്ലാ മാസവും രണ്ട് തവണ അതിൽ യാത്ര ചെയ്യാറുണ്ട് ഞാൻ. പലപ്പോഴും എനിക്ക് തോന്നിയ കര്യങ്ങൾ ആണ് അഭി വ്ലോഗിലൂടെ പറഞ്ഞത്. മഴ പെയ്താൽ നനയുന്ന കോച്ച് വരെ അതിൽ ഉണ്ട് . എനിക്ക് അനുഭവം ഉണ്ട്. Window സീറ്റ് ബുക്ക് ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ ഇതേ അവസ്ഥ എനിക്കും കിട്ടാറുണ്ട്😂😔

They should seriously consider rearranging the seating. It becomes stuffy when the train is full. Searing capacity of 90 is more apt for such coaches.
U said it abhi. Most of the train boggies are very pathatic. Even third A/c is not neat, no proper bedding in fact used beds are giving.. Proper maitanance is not there. That is the condition. 😀

Please convey these same concerns to ur kerala MPs....if they r not able to change these things then give some other party candidates a chance as MP and see whether they can bring some change. This all are happening because, u people arent selecting responsible MPs and are voting the old guy. These problems are sure to rise. Kerala express has stop at Vaikom road even before the launch of kannur jan shatabdi till the early 2018 kerala goes to ers and jan shatabdi will bypass ers and overtake kerala. After that kerala also bypass ERS and stop at ERN so jan shatabdi started to overtake at vaikom road
U r right but since last year the timings of Kerala express has changed and so no overtake by Janshatabdi at vaikom
Monday 4th Sept, I travelled in Calicut Janashatabdi from TVM morning. i booked AC. Coach was good. tyr to do vlog of Calicut Janshatabdi as well.
There are 2 Janshatabdi rakes in Kerala, these 2 rakes are shared for both Kannur Trivandrum and Kozhikode Trivandrum express. Kannur Janshatabdi and Kozhikode Janshatabdi are not run by individual rakes

Agree with whatever you say...don't bother about negative comments...we deserve to get good service for the money we pay....giving a funky look outside is all crap..inside tthe compartments are in bad condition all rusted..railways are earning through these ads...but truthfully it looks bad...underwear ads etc...trains and buses should have just single colors..that's what makes them stand out..I live in mumbai and here the local buses used to just have red color and the name BEST ...but now it's completely covered with ads and the red color has disappeared..sometimes it has faces of the politicians which is even worse..

We travel in train cos there's no other choice like many of others things in Kerala or India .. now people can use the facility of Vandaybharath train... Just need to pay money extra...
