Yes - we give these people the "benefit of the doubt" and make excuses for their behaviour. Don't try and understand, it is not possible to fathom why they continue to hurt you when you pour out your love and all your resources onto them. They remain Unfulfilled and despise your weakness trying to please them.
I stayed to find out and found out, lol it's actually way worse than I thought it was and I learned that it was better to just stay away, you won't ever get closure and if you do, I promise you it's not the entire truth or the truth at all. This is my 4th, I've learned to attract them and want to fix them, now I won't waste any more time.

Choosing to not hurt anyone for sport is the path to success. It will take you from there, you will start to believe that these behaviors are disgusting, there is nothing wrong with you, and you will never be like them.
I knew I was in trouble on our honeymoon. He went from gushing over me (before the wedding) to dropping all pretenses and "I own you now". But I was young and thought divorce was a sin. It might be a sin, but we got divorced later anyway, after having children. I should have left him two days after the wedding. "Nice party: I'm outta here". I can't believe I paid out of my own pocket and bought a beautiful dress, for the privilege of walking down the aisle and giving myself to this selfish, abusive, empty person.

I stay because at this stage in the game, at this age and with a lifetime of experiences. I know that there is nothing better out there for me. It is what it is.
There is better. It's called freedom. No one young or old deserves to be in abuse. Don't believe the narcissist's brainwashing.
Once i realized what I was dealing with i maintained the relationship to collect as much damaging info as possible.
if you don't know how, or are unable/unwilling to say NO to toxic people, your body will say it through physical (and even mental) illnesses that eventually you won’t be able to ignore.
the best time to leave a narcissist was as soon as you met. the second best time to leave a narcissist is NOW.
nothing changes if nothing changes.

Right on...this describes my now X Covert Narcissist gf passive aggressive to a ( T ) drama n Turmoil is what excites her. In the beginning i thought she was JUST , very Emotionally immature, which she is ( id say about 15 years old ) , But during my 3 long headache filled years with her , I learned about a serious form of MENTAL ILLNESS) called Covert Narcissist. ... I learned as much information as I could,and the only Conclusion was YES ( she's DEFINITELY, a covert Narcissist) ..Now 1 + year away, ...but at the end part ,she told me ( The reason she treats me so awful on purpose is because she loves me very much ) i almost swallowed my tongue ,i told my friends what she said and there reply was ( WHAT ) ( OMG )...i think this was the sickest thing Id ever heard in my life... And Im 60

First, my respect to you for your in depth knowledge and spot on analyses on this subject.
I got two kids with this "vampire", from a decade old marriage. My kids are my only reason I'm living now considering what I've been through in this life. After loosing my father(2013), my mother(2015), I became an empath as a result of these events in my life. I was very broken hearted, that was when she came into my life. All over me with love Bombing left right center. I felt this woman is God sent to help me push through life. I married her, fastforward today,...the only reason I didn't take my life was my children. I see death as a big relief to the terrible pain this woman has put me through. How can some women be so cruel 😢. I'm still trying to understand. As an empath, I can't hurt my fellow human like that.😢

We had two kids together. If I had left her, she probably would have placed our two children in an orphanage to get back at me. She finally left us.

Every one around ne seems quite narcissist, İ cant find non-narc person, İ checked ıf İ am a narc it doesnt seem so, İ will live un happy unfortunately
So, is it raining where you are? Do we still have "clinics" diagnosing abuse victims as narcissists and adhd and borderline and it used to be bi-polar etc. etc. We still doing that?
