This guy is unbelievable perfectly playing. He shows the possibilities of the accordion for expression of all facettes of emotions. Hope to hear more of him.
It always amazes me to see such genius in such humble surroundings - I have seem the great Dmetriev and equally great Oleg Sharov in accordion clubs - any other instruments and they would be in the great concert halls . Anyway lucky for us who get the privilege of seeing them close up . Dmetriev is a true artist as this short video shows .
I first came across these videos of Alexander when I was studying music at University back in the mid 00s. I will never not be in total awe of the mastery he have over his instrument.
Salutes to u Sir. Excellent Rendition..For how many centuries did u practice this?? U r producing the sound of a concert produced by 100 people at a time..Those who dislike this are really stone hearted deafs..Way to go Sir. Lots of love from INDIA..

Aside from his speed, what impressed me the most was his terrific control over the tone. His ability to move so smoothly from loud to quiet sections and notes was amazing.
He woke my dog up out of a dead sleep at 2:46! My accordion has half the number of buttons and I can't play it 1/10th as good. Great passion, great job!

I'm a baritone singer, so i know this piece well, and, while i have to say that he's technique is really good, i must say as well that it makes me really laugh. This work was intended to be hilarious, and singing it many people takes it too seriously, this goes right on the spot. It is such a pity that i can't sing exactly like this.
He is not just a accordionist, actually, he and the accordion is whole set, say combination. Best of all. We should learn his sensation in playing music.
