as someone who lives in sheffield thank you for this, and just the good skating stuff in general!
I hope you find it useful! Sheffield has a lot of hills?
I plan to do more videos like this. 👍
@@RichHayterSkater absolutely, it would be much appreciated, to go anywhere in Sheffield requires at least 1 10% gradient somewhere 🤣
Then you’re gonna need to be good at this! 🙌😂
Hey Rich - I love your videos! Thank you for the time and effort you put into them.I notice you are rocking a Bill Stoppard "Stay Low" tee. Both you guys inspire us to get out there and Skate. Please stay safe out there and keep up the great work.
Yes, Bill is the Man! And a huge inspiration to me, also!
I thank you for your comment! It makes me smile to think I inspire others to get out and skate! 🙏😁
When you are climbing a hill and you are doing the "Marching Penguin" or the "Teddy Bear": it's definitely steep enough to start worrying about how you're getting down.
Yes, if you’re not sure about how to get back down, I’d defo start with a smaller hill!
always working on my stride so that I don't pronate. and so I don't lose balance too quickly and have to plant my other foot down.
Hey Rich, great video once again! Just had a question on what wheel hardness you use for the magic slides? I've been having issues with initiating the slides (albeit not at high speeds), even at significant wheel angles so I'm wondering whether my wheels are too grippy.
Thanks!🙏
These are 85a, but I regularly use 88a. I don’t notice a huge amount of difference, except for when they’re brand new. 85s can be pretty sticky when new!
Work on your Soul slide, it’ll help you get the feel for how low that front skate needs to be.
Check out the #Short I made for this, it should help! 👍
@@RichHayterSkater Sounds like a me problem then haha! I'll check out the video, thanks!
You should do a video on how to skate safely on Britain's dilapidated, cratered, refuse-strewn, practically-dirt roads.
I hear ya! 😂
hello, i have been following for a while and find this channel one of the most inspiring, i was wondering what your favourite pair of skates are?? very curious what other people's preferences are! :)
Hey thanks for the support!
It’s really difficult to answer that. I guess the truth is, I don’t have a favourite pair of skates. I’ve had great experiences on on many different skates and setups: my PS Reign Kronos, my Oxelo MF500s and MF900s, my RB Metroblades, my FE F4s, as well as with my Rockin’ frames, and the various setups I’ve used with them.
I genuinely believe it’s way more about getting out and making the most of the skates you have than about the actual skate itself.
That said, I’m super-excited about trying out my FR SL Freerides! When the weather changes! 😁
What happened to your social networks?
What skates are you using in this video buddy?
Flying Eagle F4 Raven! Nothing flashy, but a lot of fun!👌
@@RichHayterSkater Thanks buddy I appreciate that, going to buy some as want to get back into skating, love your videos respect.
@SirApexTV-official Thanks Bud! Get back out there! You’ll love it! 👍
