The guys driving the car that was pulling Kulset said they were communicating with the other car, and they were ment to break, but Kulset tok the wrong turn just following the car and not taking the exit in the roundabout so he could jump inn on the other car. And when Kulset was so close the car couldn't really break.
MvdP is using the TdF as a training stage for the Olympics, I think he's riding hard and fast. The two breaks he did get into he was putting up the same figures as when he does when the break makes it to the end, but the peleton just wasn't having it. It's like blaming Vingegaard for 'not even following Pogi' but then you realize even Remco beat the last top time for that climb let alone the two guys ahead of him.

I really hope Girmay can bounce back and close up a sprint point or two. And if he can survive to sprint at least on stage 18 or 19, he should be able to close it up. Breakaways may be Biniam's best friends now. Take away the sprint points early may do it, however stage 17 and 19, the sprint points are before any major climbs. If he can limit Philipsen in 17 and 19 to minimal gains, the points on 18 and 20 should be zero for either him or Philipsen and be enough for him to keep the Green jersey. Whew, what a battel for Green!

Cav and Groenewegen got it right once or twice, Wout + De Lie almost won one but thought Demare, Jakobsen, Bennett, Ackerman & Kristoff (+Bauhaus) would combine to have some impact between them
Only one can win each sprint stage, so that's not surprising at all! I would even say this year has way more winners than last year when Philipsen dominated.

5:00 - I'm the guy in yellow behind the barrier at the bottom left of this shot! It's actually a yellow Australia cricket jersey. It took me forever to find myself because it looks like it's my arm holding out a phone, but that is someone else's arm. I was filming with my Panasonic Lumix S5ii so I'd initially dismissed that shot when trying to look for myself thinking the guy in yellow wasn't me because he was holding out a phone. I knew I was standing right before the 500m mark and banging on the France tv advertising hoarding right as the barriers bend toward the riders' right (camera's left). It was a great day in Nimes but really hot and packed full of people. I actually walked all the way to the finish line trying to find a good spot to film, and had to walk back to 500m before there was space on the barrier - I wanted the experience of banging on the hoarding as the sprint train went past. I even got to film Pogacar on the podium in yellow during the ceremony after the race, but again unfortunately I was standing maybe 50m away at an odd angle and had to zoom in over people's heads...

They pretty much did a perfect lead out. Only thing wrong was Jonas Abrahamsen should have pulled off earlier though and made Robbe Ghys hit the wind and start his lead out earlier but it's impossible to know who is or isn't on your wheel in the last few kms

They pretty much did a perfect lead out. Only thing wrong was Jonas Abrahamsen should have pulled off earlier though and made Robbe Ghys hit the wind and start his lead out earlier but it's impossible to know who is or isn't on your wheel in the last few kms
