On October 7, 2024, in Maryland, USA, it was truly heartwarming to witness the younger generation expressing their admiration for the natural beauty of our surroundings. As for the bothy, the favorable weather must have provided you with an incredible and unforgettable view, allowing you to collect spring water to fill your bottle. It's often when we least expect it that we are blessed, and I'm certain you share this sentiment. May you continue to journey with the wind at your back, basking in the gentle warmth of the sun on your face, and perhaps even catching sight of a few rainbows along the way.
Amazing!! We are in the USA, Kansas, adore your adventures per YT!! Scotland many years ago over 40 years visited. We retired and do not travel to much, so nice to enjoy the views, adventures you take us on!! Loving even the smoke coming out your tent from cooking, the Bogs, the amazing breathtaking views of the Lochs, clouds over the mountains and the Trains!! Perfect the campsite, your amazing, look forward to your next adventures!! Please stay safe and well!!😄♥
Yeah it’s disappointing not to get into a bothy but you have adventures and see things that many may not get to do. And that, no one can take away from you.
HI Gregor..I was on that train in early June when on a cycling and wild camping holiday in the highlands going from Fort William to Mallaig to take the Ferry to Skye. Apparently the 8th most beautiful train journey in the world. I cant wait to get back to explore more of the Highlands but I realised then that to be truly free it should be done as you do, on two legs! It was lovely to see the Loch from your perspective high up. You do make truly beautiful videos Gregor. Every one a gem, even when they don't work out as planned. They are a joy to watch...thank you x
Eh thats such a bad luck but you had really great views and sceneries from you camped so thats win!! Especially from 6:00 the sunset evening hours looked so beautiful. Yet another chill video though mate. Keep going A kayak trip doesnt sound too bad ahaha
Hi mate, I've experienced full bothies on occasions too. Always wise to have a tent ! And that view was actually a bonus, definitely not a downgrade from the bothy. Another great video & I've also subscribed. Look forward to the next one.
Nice lil Bothy, if you go again come in from main road under railway tunnel follow track up hill and down other side, from were you are looking down, you approach bothy from other side of river they people walked in from, small wooden planks across river, or approach bothy along the railway to the left of bothy. Enjoyed the vid, Thanks for making.
Better luck next time but half the fun of going to the bothy is wondering if any one will be inside it but you had fun trying and i loved seeing the beautiful Scottish highlands best of luck Gregor. x
Great video, keep it up. I'd say keep failing to stay in a bothy. I gave up with them many years ago after a bad experience at Shenaval bothy; other bothy users can be inconsiderate, especially groups. It's much better to find a quiet spot with a good view, as you have done; you'll never be disappointed..
Hey, I felt your disappointment there, but every cloud's got a silver lining, hasn't it? Shame about the midgies, but they might have been even worse down by the loch - and you know, even if you'd been half an hour earlier and got yourself a space - nobody's telling me that a crowd like that weren't there to party, even if only in the traditional, whisky-swilling, ballad-singing way - so you'd not have got much sleep. The fact they all slept in late confirms it. Funnily enough, I've always wanted to visit that bothy too - It looks so inviting from the train, doesn't it? Alas, I don't know how my wheels would cope with that bog, so I'll just look forward to your video! Remember the view from that gully!
Tics - Grrrrrrr! Took our wee doggie for a run around a field. Saw a tic on her, so put the drops on her neck! Must have picked up half a dozen. Keep the covers over the boots 😁Great scenery 👍🏻
Another beautiful video and stunning location, thanks once again. I'm sure you will have enjoyed the view and peace and quiet far more than a rowdy night in a cramped bothy with a load of strangers, farting and fighting all night for a go on the compost toilet! It does seem a shame though, when the haunted bothy didn't give you the willy's, this one was full of them.
@Nat-rs6up.......archeological sites and fossil sites may not be what this young man is into ....and he has already enjoyed many bothies before ......he is mainly for walking and scenery in SCOTLAND .................
@@georgecullen9516 He definitely shows us the best scenery. I could just look that stuff up. I suppose I figured it would be fun considering he was in the highlands to dabble with that possibility.
My heart goes out to you Gregor, you don't have much luck with bothies. Perhaps next time you should place a hidden speaker somewhere and play the sound of an angry wasp nest :) On the flip side though, you had some luck managing to film just as the steam train came along. As always, thank you for the amazing views and camera work. Till next time, much peace.
As you must have seen in the video, there was no easy or quick route down, or time before sunset, so Gregor did a lot better staying where he was, with peace and quiet and a fantastic view.
Big problem with "tour groups" hijacking bothies. I imagine their group leaders are cheapsters who aren't even bothie members. Shame on the freeloaders there. 😮🦧. MBA should pile on those who profit from charity without contribution.. Mind you. So happy you got a great pitch after all 😊
Thank you.
Ohhh such a beautiful Country. Enjoyable video. 👍👍🙏💯💯🙏👍👍

Thanks Gregor for taking us along with you, wonderful scenery, well filmed, chilled commentary. Go do it all while you are young.
Thanks for all the great views.
You wouldn’t have got that wonderful view from the bothy! Beautiful scenery ❤
Gregor- your videos are always awesome with such lovely, beautiful scenery, well edited and well narrated buddy 💯🏆
Well said buddy
Subscribed to your UA-cam channel too - the awesome mark and awesome daz
Thanks man, glad you enjoy them :)
I was wondering what his name was... thanks!
Just love watching your videos Gregor, you capture such amazing scenery which simply blows me away, keep filming 👌

You are lucky to get out in nature. Smell the fresh clean air. The peace and quiet.
I have no idea how this came up on my FY. But i am so glad it did. I love your content. I am hooked and binge watching xx
Unlucky with the bothy but lucky to see the steam train and those amazing reflections 🙂
Wow just the colours. Stunning 😮
You were so lucky to see the train👍
Great video the scenery is beautiful pity about the Bothy but at least you got a great sunrise
Such a beautiful country ❤
Another great video, Gregor!
Now that's what you call a great fail. Enjoyed the film, keep them coming.

@@ScottishSummiteer Absolutely did 😁Quite shocked as they dropped off and started to crawl around 😷 Terrible creatures ☹

I got a tick in my knee of all places the other day walking around Carrot Hill. I was livid, the audacity of those little things lol
